Tht looks really delicious 😍👌 a bit different to how we make ... like after cooking mutton wid onion tomato haldi mirch salt nd ginger garlic paste in cooker we add bottle gourd (opt. but de addition will make it tastier) nd after its half cooked we add imli ka pulp curry leaves green chilies coriander along wid boiled dal puree nd some water to adjust the consistency nd after a boil comes will leave on medium flame till rawness of imli ka pulp disappears.... a piece of cinnamon can also be added while boiling to enhance de flavor. nd yes mutton can be replace wid lauki ( bottle gourd) thereby getting a vegetarian version of the same. In our place we call it dalcha too ! it is commonly eaten as a side dish to our traditional combo or else sometimes can be eaten on its own.

Though am a pure vegetarian but you may also add whole spices like tez patta and also kasuri methi and instead of slit green chillies can add green chilli paste and can use slit green chilli in tadka . I guess this adds more flavour to any dal recipe.
