It's not a bad idea to allow other cities to make trade routes with you since the trade route itself will generate spice. Keeping an economic ally nearby is pretty smart if you plan on ruthlessly taking over everyone else since they'll just join you after you take over every other city.

I have a suggestion, For Season 14 of spore modded you could install the aquatic stage mod and play it before the creature stage, the theme could also be humanity, starting as like any cell and etc but in the creature stage you start to make you creature look like a human slowly
