This comment really caught me off guard but I’m actually really thankful for the thought process it sent me on! I love my social media and it’s been an incredible journey, but I think if I’m going to stay in it, and keep going strong I have to redefine what success means to me with it!

Burnout is only natural, creativity isn't an unending stock that we can take out and use whenever we want. It's like a feeling, some days it just flows through our mind and body without even trying, and sometimes it's really hard to channel it. Like a feeling, it can't be forced. Personally, I feel like forcing myself to be productive with my creations on burnouts only make me feel bitter about it and almost see it as a burder. I just heard a dialogue in a show that really stuck out to me. It said, "You are allowed to take your time, what you can't afford is to waste is". It really helped me see a things a lot clearly.

The ones that are meant to be worn are for specific special occasions, often designed for one person in particular. I love seeing his creations, but since I live off-grid on a goat ranch, there will never be an occasion for me to wear one of his creations. When I was in my 20s (long ago) I worked for a designer and we made couture dresses and suits for wealthy women. I love watching him because it reminds me of what I used to do long before my health failed me. It brought me great joy to create something beautiful from a piece of fine fabric and seeing a customer glow with happiness, knowing she had a unique dress to wear to the Cattleman's Ball, or whatever. (I'm from Dallas, the CB was a huge charity event attended by wealthy folks)
