Not so much simplistic, rather uncanny. That's what makes the horror unique. Scott could've done something like this to make his game scarier, but the reason he didn't, is because it's not scarier. It's like in ucn, where not much is a mystery, or questionable. This mod definitely had effort put into it, but it doesn't accomplish it's goal, rather doing the opposite.

Don’t worry they’re just illusions made by the Sound wave disk or whatever they’re called, like the Nightmares too, they probably aren’t actual big, bulky, monster animatronics. The sound wave disks or whatever, they’re these things that I believe Aubergine Man / Willy-Billy Afton made that like he puts in the animatronics and it makes this sound illusion thing that makes the animatronics have this fake appearance that makes them scary or something. Agreed, the nightmares were alittle over the top but believable, these designs look scary yes but do to how over made it is, it just takes away from the horror aspect. They look more in place in FNAF World honestly. If the designs were used in a game where you bearly see them and have to go by sounds or by the light from their "eyes" then they would be *FAR* more scary do to you not seeing them so often. But that's my opinion. Thanks for coming to my ted-talk!

The mod is cool, but it would be cooler if it were Twisted animatronics. There are moments in fnaf mods where the animatronic movement animation is the original model in the game. And with a mod for Twisted animatronics, it would look perfect. Illusion disk.
