I was coming from the losers side of the bracket since I lost to ZD in winners side Since the bracket is double elimination, I had to beat MPG twice to win the tournament since MPG was in winners side of the bracket since he had not lost a set yet

From what I understand it is because Peanut was in the loser's bracket and MPG was from the winner's bracket. In grand finals, it ends with a standoff between the victor of winners bracket (MPG) and the victor of losers bracket (Peanut). If the challenger from loser's bracket beats their opponent from winner's bracket, there's this thing called a reset. It basically means that they get out of the loser's bracket and get into the winner's bracket and therefore have to beat their opponent again to win the entire tournament.

@@matthewphillips1890 LM has been limiting Peanut's really good motor skills by only limiting it to the ground, with an also horrible recovery. I want to see him main a mid tier or at least anything that's not low tier. Been a LM fan for months but it really lowers his potential of being an actually top tier player. If he can go this far with Little Mac then I wonder how further he can go with characters that aren't low tier.

Peanut does seem to have very good reflexes and intuition, which (like you said) is held back by LM’s lacking recovery in a platformer fighting game. Although I don’t think there is any use telling him this when I’m sure Peanut is already well aware of it. He knows the struggle that is playing LM, but he really enjoys certain aspects of his play style. I also don’t think he has it in him to just give up on his “main” that he’s been grinding with for years, his struggle with LM is what’s made so popular among pro players. Peanut’s bold choice of playing what can be considered the worst character in the game gives him this very compelling under dog aura that he otherwise wouldn’t have playing some random mid/high-tier. Even still like you’d said I would be very interested in seeing him play an (objectively) better character considering how far he’s gotten with LM. In the end I think we shouldn’t try and tell him not to play a certain character over others, what matters is that he keeps his passion for the game, and if that passion comes from playing LM I’d rather sit back and pray that he wins a Major opposed to telling him he’s wrong for playing a character.
