Hmmm... I would not suggest that cause it will cost more. I do understand that may be that's the only way for some people to get parts if there are no local part seller available to them. I've been there when I was starting into LEGO. That's why I don't suggest it due to I spent more and only used some parts from the sets. I can only help if I provide instructions. Let's see if I can make it worth the time for both sides 😁

thanks for answering. The smaller mechs are cooler to upgrade. Therefore a "additional parts needed" list would be awesome. Maybe use it as a headline "upgrade small mech xy with 10$ only into a beast" Additional parts list/picture at the end. @@Mechalaro Would be a 100% watch series for me

Thanks 😁 I would have made it more dynamic but felt too much. Tired to use a ball joint but it had too much during posing the mech. I thought that the knees should only move forward and backward only for a simple design. I'm glad I went with that Idea 😁

Thanks 😁 I like that concept too. It's a space saver build and easier to make if you want all the Ninja in the series to have mechs. That idea is quite tempting to do but I need to focus on the plans I made😁

Very glad you made a different version for those who don’t have that piece.At first I was confused cause they look the same but then I saw the ball joint.I used to get next knights but didn’t know any of those sets had that piece.

Same. I was reluctant at first but someone said they didn't have the Nexo Knight piece in my community post so I went thru with the idea. I wanted to do it another way but I didn't have the right pieces. I like the new cockpit piece for middle size mech but the old Nexo Knight cockpit should be bought back for small builds like this. The arms of the original design were way off IMO 😁 I wonder now if LEGO can make another version of the latest cockpit piece that has a ratcheted technic pin as the connector. That would be awesome for middle size mech but I believe they won't do that 🤣

@jeffreymiller2882 hmm... I didn't get Arin's Battle Mech cause I got Lloyd and Arin's Ninja Team Mechs 71794 back home. Think Arin's mech in that set is better. I might upgrade it when I get home or build a mech similar to this one when I see a good deal for an Arin's minifigure 😁

@@Mechalaro personally, I’d like you to do the 4+ because it’s more affordable and can definitely use some upgrades.I agree that it should be a similiar size. Edit: you might not even have to get the set just upgrade the mech.The yellow shield/canopy thing(idk what you’d call it) is also from wolverines mech.

Thanks. I planned to make 2 versions of Sora's mech. The 1st version is made uaing the remaining parts from a second set. I left it in WIP for now. I feel it's still incomplete and will get back to it after refreshing my perspective about it. The 2nd version should be the one where I combine it with the bike mech set. But I can't find all of its parts. I might have scrapped it before and forgot to return the parts I took. Worst case, I lost it 🤣 Might get back to it after building other sets. I still can't figure it out right now 🤣

Hmm. I don't know. I only like to use the SCCBS pieces with Ninjago's latest mech sets as it's a cool theme. I might now use SCCBS piece after I make a mech for the main characters. 😁

Thanks for the comment 😁 Hmm, I planned to have 2 upgrades for Sora's mech. First is using the remaining parts from a second set. It's WIP right now and needs to tinker with it. I gave it more tech, but it feels incomplete. I went with building other stuff for now to refresh my perspective. The second version is supposed to be combined with the bike mech set, but I think I scrapped that set for parts. 🤣 I just found half of the set. If I can't find the lost pieces, then I might go with upgrading it using parts from my bin like what I did for Kai's mech. 😁

@@MechalaroPersonally, I’m fine with either version. But I would like it if you used 2x Sora’s elemental mech instead because it’s cheaper then the tech bike.Although I have the tech bike it’s almost 50$ to get another so I’d prefer 2x of Sora’s elemental mech.

@jeffreymiller2882 yup that's my plan for Version 1. I have another Sora's mech set and only took some pieces like the new waist joint to improve my Zane's Elemental Ice mech. It still has many parts left so I'm try to upgrade my first Sora's mech with it. Yup it's a bit expensive to buy multiple copies of the set but that waist piece is that good in my opinion and I wanted another pair of that new armor in gold. 😁 Might post a pic of the build later at my community tab 😁

Hmm... I did do some builds that are not ninjago related. It might be due to LEGO sets I like are usually under the ninjago theme. I do have other builds back at home that are still WIP. I might resume building medival mechs when I go home. Right now, I'm maximizing the value of sets I currently have. I will make an upgrade of the space construction mech set. 😁

Thanks! 😁 hmm.. I think the best way to approach that is to use a minifigure headgear with a samurai theme. Like the ones from samurai X set. LEGO Set 70665 would be awesome for this build as it has some pieces too to update the mech. Now I want one 🤣 A brick built head would be too big for this build. we will need to increase the proportions of the mech. I bit bigger than the elemental mech I think would be a good size. 😁

I think 200 pieces are enough for the basic upgrade. Bigger weapons and gimmicks might need more. 😁

Plus my voice is not that soothing to hear 🤣 I rather use the text to speech to convey my thoughts about the build than adding text again.
