I have been recommended videos similar to this, even with worse quality and video editing, with hundreds of thousands of views. This shit's unfair, yt alg sucks. Have you tried posting tiktok versions of your videos? Like a small recap of the video with a link of the full yt video at the end, or "to see the full video check me out on yt"? Tiktoks about these topics get plenty of views it might be worth a shot

If your gimmick for your tower defense game is to place the towers wherever you want, there needs to be a benefit for that mechanik like (buffs for placing allot of thr same towers near each other or placing them on special terrain (montain = increased range) something like that maybe A banger of a video keep going ^-^

Would be nice to add a tower that deals more damage or has an especial effect but tha can only be placed in the path where enemies travel and that it can be destroyed by them, it can also be used as a distraction for the enemies or a way of groping them

Really fast progress. As I've made my own tower defense it took about 6 months to move from prototype phase, 6 months to choose the art style and 24 months to make the game feel enjoyable xD (OTHERWAR - on Steam) Will you make a fully fledged game from this prototype?

Indie gamedev KZbinrs trying not to make the same ctrl c + v code joke for the millionth time (CHALLENGE FAILED) Great video! I like how the game turned out, even tho it's pretty basic and not exactly the most unique thing. I like the models and artstyle too! The Dani-like jokes in the video aren't exactly the most funny things in the world. The constant cursing, cutting recording before disaster, copy and pasting code, and the many other jokes could be a bit more original. I'd recommend focusing more on the educational and informative side of gamedev, rather than seeing who can be the most funny, but that's just me. Otherwise, can't wait to see what more you have to offer. :)

Ctrl C + V is a classic, you can do nothing about it ) but tbh I never plan ahead making jokes, especially that one, I just needed an enemy model, and I already had it made for my previous game (more on that will be in the next video). I can’t argue about originality of the jokes, but I can’t do educationall stuff, cuz 1. I don’t possess that knowledgde 2. It’s not really my goal :) I like to entertain. Since the path is predefined and the start/end points are static, i think a good idea would be coding the enemies to follow a predetermined path, theres no need to waste resources using navmesh for this, just advising you, good job anyways! Keep it up my man!

i played your TD and have some feedback. first: you absolutely need to add a target priority setting to the towers. it's quite frustrating to have all the mobs be at 10% health because you can't tell the tower to focus low health mobs or to have the cannon tower attack large mobs while the arrow tower attacks small ones. so adding "target strong", "target weak", "target low health", "target first" and "target last" would be quite useful. second: you need to have a fast forward button. it's quite boring to be sitting there waiting for the next wave of mobs to finally reach the towers you built. third: balance-wise i would add more mobs and make the towers stronger. personally i feel that would just be more interesting to watch, since TD is a somewhat hands off game genre at times. (just a personal feeling) forth: i feel like TD strongly benefit from money generating structures. this adds another layer of game-play by making the player weigh off if they are better off building an attack tower now or if they can afford to invest that money in money generation in order to be stronger later in the game. fifth: it drove me mad that the camera can not swivel up and down, only left to right.

When you select a tower, there is a pop up in the middle, from where you can select the method to target. You can’t choose a specific enemy, but you can choose to target for example enemies with low health
