Honestly, 'cotton candy' did nothing for me XD It fits the character and the episode, but I quickly forgot about it. '2 minutes notice' on the other hand is my all time favorite, that made me listen to it for the whole weekend, on the loop XD

Yeah, I just couldn't get past the homogeneity of the lyrics. I'm sure it's true to their guest star's lyrics, but I just cringed that it was mostly just "Cotton Candy" over and over again. Will agree that 2 Minutes Notice is just... unbelievable by comparison. It's such a bop, such a mood, such an anthem of defiance and reclamation, and it's one of the few songs I feel compelled to sing when I hear it. Stone-cold stunner.

The interesting thing about the HB world is that so far of the Deadly Sins and Overlords that we’ve met, only one has been an unabashed asshole. (No spoilers), the first two Sins we met are genuinely nice people, sure they have flaws (doesn’t everyone?) but they aren’t the evil monsters you’d expect them to be Also, subtle touch in “Two Minute Notice”, Fizz slowly removes pieces of his Jester costume as he builds to the point where he quits

Some context that the show gets right…ish but slightly wrong with the whole lineage thing, “Demons” such as Stolas Beelzebub, and Ozzie are allegedly Angels that came down when they were cast out of Heaven. So small distinction there that doesn’t apply to all characters in canon that it should apply to.

I've watched the entire show and I didn't really like Cotton Candy. It felt too simple to me. I love the character look but the song just didn't become something I loved. Not in your review (because it was probably after) but Just Look My Way is now my favorite, Ozzie's is second, You'll be ok is probably a third, Clown is fourth and the others are kind of mix where I like them. Glad you introduced her to these.
