It reduces clumping from your hands, and reduces the mess. Give it a try on some small test pieces if you have a chance and it may be a good method for you as well.

JLCPCB's pretty damn good; though I used the nylon powders myself. I should try out their resin service some time.
@zedabyu6 ай бұрын
Oh you have tried them? How's the nylon option and why did you choose it over the others? Nylon seems to absorb water overtime similar to PLA, and I've had my older PLA work crumble into pieces after a few years lol, so I'll probably stick to resin for now unless there's some beneficial properties of nylon that I don't know about.
@JomasterTheSecond6 ай бұрын
@@zedabyu I chose nylon powder and MJF since the parts I used were small figure pieces that needed to be durable, specifically hands and feet I modelled for vintage Microman figures which needed to hold up to being pushed onto the ball joints and moved, which nylon was perfect for. I opted to have the MJF parts dyed and smoothed too which made the parts look a lot cleaner.

Phrozen aqua 8k resins are very reliable, so you should stick with those to ensure successful prints. you will still have to learn about how to prep models and support them, but it shouldn't be too hard since you have fdm printing knowledge. the most different part would be the post processing where you have to allocate an area for cleaning with IPA, which should be well ventilated. you will also need a uv light station to cure the prints further.
