I think that anyone that works creatively, remembers the first positive encouragement that they received from their seniors. Great story Dave, the piece turned out aces!

Thanks for sharing this build with us and thanks for sharing your story with us too. I can identify with having an art mentor. My art teacher from school was a professional cartoonist (realist figures). He mentored me as a portraiture pencil artist, so much so, I became a police artist drawing faces from descriptions of offenders. Sadly Pete died last year at age 92. We kept in touch for years after I left school. Thanks once again Dave. Graeme.

Awesome story! It's important to have those early experiences as a young creative to build confidence and to not shy away from that artistic side. Creating art can be empowering. I'm an art teacher and it's my honest to goodness proudest moment when I see former students go into the field. I have students who've become sign painters, tattoo artists, photographers, illustrator, educators... Not enough respect for the arts out there in the "real world." (Until they want something lol)

So cool! My first job, as a kid, was working for an outdoor signage company using one of the earliest versions of Corel Draw back in 1989! That tested my patience as an early teenager. 😂
@DRToysCreations5 ай бұрын
Yeah, I was using Corel Draw around the same time. I graduated HS in 95 so it would have been early 90’ for me. Then I learned Freehand and I fell in love with vector graphics!😃

@@DRToysCreations Well I think the content you create is great, I wish I had a solution for you, but I can't seem to get hardly anyone to even watch my videos🤣 unlike me though, you have a great presentation style, great voice that always sounds positive and uplifting! @@Trashbash_Creations Thanks! I actully saw your Sci-Fi Grenade the other day, I didn't know that was yo. cool build. Your Blaster is also cool. I think the hardest part is consistency, I have made it a goal to produce at least one video every two weeks. I was try one a week but with a full time job it was way too much. I'm not gonna lie, there are many weeks I just wanna call it quits but for some reason I'm still doing it after six years! LOL

@@DRToysCreations Yeah I definitely need to try and be more consistent, Thanks for the kind words and advice, I look forward to your next build, Cheers, TBC.
