A suggestion for some mod additions: - Frankk's language barriers mod sort of adds nationalities and language learning to the game so Don could have a low level in Selvadoradian - If you use ui cheats, you can right click the green trait bar and add traits from there.

That first one sounds interesting! And yes I also use UI cheats to add/remove skills, traits etc, but there's more options with the shift click method!

I always replace Katrina with Nighat in my games 🤣 I can’t stand her. They definitely did Nina and Dina dirty with their makeovers, they’re not hot and don’t look Middle Eastern or Latina or a mix of both cultures to me at all. I like your versions for this version of the “lore” though. No idea why EA decided to change their whole heritage but that’s not your fault. You refreshed them as they are, not how they were in previous games. Good work

I completely agree! I might even do an alternate version with Nighat although that would mean I'd need to incorporate the whole alien storyline again, we'll see! But completely agree, the refreshed sims look nothing like middle eastern people or latino at all. Thanks for this valuable comment 🥰

To remove the decorations on the outside of the house you need to purchase the decoration bin from build/buy. It comes with seasons and is two plastic bins on top of each other. I can't remember the official name off the top of my head, but the first swatch has a pink top on one of the bins. Once you have it go into live mode and click on it. You'll have an option to take down decorations. You'll also have options to change, set, or put up decorations. I hope this helps! I love the revamp you did of this family, they really needed the help!

This is such a beautiful makeover, you've done a great job! To remove the Seasons decorations place the Attic Stack box and it gives you the option to take down the decorations when you're in live mode 😊

For my version of this family, I brought back Nighat, but I gave her Katrina''s hair color and general vibe.

In my save file, Dina has had two children with Mortimer Goth but are now divorced as he has remarried Bella. So she is living off the alimony and is a food critic whilst living in a fancy complex she owns! I completed the villainous valentine aspiration for Nina (kinda, I did cheat a little), but she has had an on and off relationship with Don - who she is now remarried to. Don has completed his serial romantic aspiration - I didn’t cheat for that - I’m thinking to make him have another family or become an elderly bachelor! Katrina has married Mark Eggleston, and they live in a fancy villa in Strangerville, where I imagine the prices to be cheap because the town has the mother plant reigning. It’s hard to figure out jobs for Katrina and Nina - also I made Don a medic like Sims 2, but I kinda want him to become a spy!

The old caliente family in the sims4 before the remake Nina and don had some AMAZING genes mixed together Like I kid you not I made don and Nina have kids every save file and my kid would marry their kid cuz the genes were just on point every time

No, they did when Nighat Mahmoud was their mother but in the sims 4 she doesn't exist as Katrina replaces her, like I explained at the beginning 😊

Decorations are the worst lol, yes it glitches out sometimes. The best way to get rid of any unwanted decoration, is to set all of your holidays to no decorations in your calendar, now some already glitched out will remain, just create an holiday without any decoration and visit the community lot which is glitched and it will disappear. Now for home lot, just buy the decoration box, click on remove decoration, it should remove them easy as that.

Also if you download a house that has decorations stuck on. The easiest way to get rid of them is to get the seasons box and manually take them down

I have discovered this channel recently and I looove your makeover series! Already suscribed. I cant wait to download the families from your gallery 😊 Edit: I'm Spanish (with many latinx friends from Uruguay, Colombia, Venezuela and Ecuador) and I'm surprised by non Hispanic people being offended in the comments. This makeover, even if there are some stereotypes (like the OG Calientes are, or the Landgraabs or the Goths) is great. This version of the Caliente's sisters is much more round, realistic and fun to play.

Only thing I'd like to note: Many latino/a/e people are white, as people from Spain (or have a majority of their ancestory from Spain) are white. There are also a lot of people from Mexico and South America that naturally have light skin and red hair. 😊

Of course! If I was making a british person or a french person there would be things/tropes I would lean into. I don't look typically english/french either (I'm both) but I know there's averages that work to achieve more of a traditional looking sim for a nationality 😊

KiaraSims4Mods has a Personal Trainer Career required packs City Living, Get Famous and Fitness Stuff, other requirements is the XML Injector. That's one thought, Wicked Pixxel has a Fitness Instructor Mod but I really don't know much about this one. I guess in the game itself there is Athlete Career branches of to Professional Athlete or Bodybuilder. I really enjoyed this video and will be looking out for more Thankyou for the history and your remake of the Caliente's look fantastic.

I disagree in the sense that Don is supposed to be a young adult, I mean he looked much older in the sims 2 than this version of himself in the sims 4. In the sims 2, he looked like he was an adult, preying on a little bit younger women to me... I think this ''new'' beard which I dont like for Don, make him looks way younger than he should. Don, should have the old pervert goatee style lol, like I call it. I think they made a terrible job with him, and the best facial wise I would say is Dina, they did her justice if you really compare how she was in the sims 2, and she is very cute. Nina on the other hands, she is fine, but the big dark eyebrows... I dont understand lol. I dont understand the trend for girls to give themself big eyebrows or darken them, as it just make them look more childish or worse, more severe sometime... I dont like it as a guy. All that being said, your version is absolutely gorgeous, but I think it goes far too away from their original sims 2 looks. IRL, yes I would choose your own version, because they are very beautiful and hot.

You make an interesting point about the idea behind Don, but I looked at it from the other way. EA made him look like an older creepy guy, whereas his in-game EA age was "young adult". So my logic was, ok, let's make him actually look like a young adult. He is actually described as "Katrina's toyboy" in the official EA description, which refers to a older woman/younger man relationship. But yes I could see Don be an older guy too! At the end of the day, my goal wasn't to recreate the sims 2 versions, just make them look like what the sims 4 tried to do. This is just my interpretation. Dina, Nina and Katrina all have the exact same eyebrows actually, Nina's aren't thicker at all! A lot of it is down to personal preference which obviously won't be the same for everyone. Also, Don yes, him being a young adult in the sims 4, make sense to keep this aspect on your make over, I was only refering to the sims 2 which they took as influence to recreate that family from sims 4 base game, and the original were a disaster. Don looking nothing alike sims 2 Don, and its why people asked for those make over, thats why I always come back to sims 2, because thats the main reason why people complained, they were much better. Also, what they did in the sims 4, by making Don a toy boy does not stick at all with his personality, which I dont like, its another weird way to portray a said ''lothario'' guy, in my opinion, especially since the source of Don, canon, from the sims 2, is that he is the actual predator, not the opposite lol. I always found it weird for him to be living with them, its like if they turn a fully grown man, who like playing with women, that have a job, a home to invite ladies to, to only a ''toy boy'' who has nothing for himself, except, being use for women pleasures... that's the other around with Don, he is supposed to be the one behind it, not taking courtesy from an older woman, just because he is a woohoo adict. They feck it up real bad in the sims 4, and thats why I dont play with their twisted story, non canon on top of it. Not only the story does not stick to what they are supposed to be, the traits does not work either and their face/clothing were wrong too. Also, EA made him look like an old casanova in sims 2, I dont know about creepy guy, I dont know why we would consider someone like him as creepy, thats not what I have in my mind when it comes to ''creepy'' but certainly in the sims 2, he was looking like an older guy, mid thirties, an intern or nurse, that is messy and love woohooing, also non commital. He was in the right trade for seeing multiple women lol. A predator man nurse amoungs so many women. It reminds me of someone I know ahah. In the sims 4, the original version made him look like if he was younger, the new version also, make him look young. Thats my opinion. Sims 2 Don, looks mature and own his shit together.

I dont think they were trying to make them look Latina i think they were trying to reflect thier arab heritage (on the moms side). Althought with Caliente as a last name i can understand why people might consider them Latina. Also not a ton of redheads in that part of the world. I really like the way Dina turned out and the way you did Katrina face makes it looks like she might have had some work done which I think works for her charater.

In that case, why keep the Latina mother and not bring back Nighat who was arabic? Katrina is latina. After a while you start to ask yourself how much of what they're "correcting" is intentional and how much is just a accident and unintentionnal

@@Jaz_Sims I honestly Nighat was meant to be Kartina's mother and Nina/Dina's grandmother. They married a latino man named Caliente. Atleast thats what made sense to me. But the sims lore is sloppy so your interpertations is definately valid.

@@undetestable1 Yeah it's defo sloppy! The sims wiki has a lot of info on it, as TS4 is an alternate universe so Katrina is supposed to be their alternate mother, and she has different origins. Not that it matters in the bigger picture what origins they are, but I'm a fan of lore that follows logic and makes sense, I don't like it when things are messy so I'm having a field day with the sims 4 🤠
