Ok, the flash always on for these bubbly cameras (as I call them) makes so much more sense now. I was confused why they had dual shutters like the box cameras, but the flash never disables. Thank you for that tid bit of information!

@@virus7g7 to be honest i think it's already publicly available But honestly it's not very helpful for the actual mod itself - and not even I can be bothered totally dismantling the shutter on one of these things. You need factory jigs etc The repair manuals for Polaroids I find to be nearly useless - other than documenting the theory side of how the camera operates
@virus7g72 ай бұрын
@@theinstantcameraguy That's fair, But I always found that (at least for me) even if a manual doesn't help me repair a camera and or shutter (even though that's what it should be doing haha) I always found that it sheds light on how it works and helps me understand it better. I recently got a old copy "Repair Manual" for a Yashica camera hoping that it would shed some light and information on the shutter that I had to do some work on. Sadly, but later gratefully, upon arrival I soon learned that it was a repair manual only for the cds light meter system for the camera. I was upset at first and even though it didn't help me with a repair, it did give me insight and information that was going to help me with a problem I didn't know I had yet.

Is that how the Polaroid One works with its auto focus? Or a more basic version? I recently bought two of them still sealed in there plastic packaging and at first I thought it was defective out of the packaging. So I took the second one out of its packaging and it was doing the same thing. Let me explain. With the flash on or off you press the shutter button it wasn’t doing anything. But after playing with it for a while I realized you just need to to hold down that shutter button and it seems to be doing some calculations for a second or two or long three no matter the light levels and then finally a photo. Just wondering almost zero information about that camera. I also two brand new Polaroid One600 Ultra I managed to get and they don’t give that delay like they are thinking. They almost look like identical cameras except for a few things.

You mean the little grey button under the flash housing like on the 660AF? Or the secondary trigger that usually creates a flash-less photo On this type of AF camera, there is no under-flash button, and the secondary trigger also fires the flash I THINK that perhaps secondary trigger in this instance forces infinity focus...
