My favorite Disney princess is Tiana, she's hard working and never backs down from a challenge. Her journey is different, she learns to open up to people and even to rely on others; such as open up to having feelings for Nevin. Nevin also grows from being a ladies man to realizing that he wants a real connection with a person and finds that in Tiana. The other characters are also diverse from the regular Disney Princess movie in that Tiana has a support system within her family, as well as outside her family. Big Daddy LeBuff and Lottie are supportive of Tiana and treat her like family. And even though Lottie's dream, or hope, is to become a princess, she let's that dream go when she knows it will result in Tiana and Nevin being happy. There's also hints in the movie, that lead to further theories, of Lottie and Big Daddy LeBuff being supportive of Tiana behind the sence because they know her well enough to know that she wouldn't except help outright; such as "a gentlemen came in and offered a full amount in cash" for the sugarmill that Tiana wanted to put her restaurant in--the only one in the town known to be able to do that is Big Daddy LeBuff, likely getting the building for Tiana as a possible partner. And then there's Tiana's signature blue dress that she get's from Lottie--Lottie's signature is pink and princesses-like, so why would she have a dress that would work perfectly for Tiana unless it was a possible gift for her in the future? Likely a gift because Lottie knows that Tiana would never spend money on a dress and would rather save up for her restaurant.

Oooh I agree! Tiana is my favorite as well! I wanted to make her, but the need to use that cave club doll played a bigger role in my decision 😄 I love her because she's the only princess who actually worked to make her dream come true. And I also love their friendship with Lottie, how they are completely different and still have this strong bond😁

I have a Disney how to draw book for Princess and the Frog, and whoever wrote Lottie's part was way in the wrong; they said that she was selfish and other rude things, guess they didn't watch the movie

First: Again, your work is amazing. My favorite part on your Vanellope is her face. It's one of your best yet. The outfit is rather simply but it fits the character. I was hopping for candy, sprinkle hair clips and I thought you could have drawn on stripes on to the leggings in rust colors or something but it´s easy to say things afterwards someone else had all the work. And to answer your question: My favorite two Disney characters are Aurora - she is walzing barefoot through the woods, if you know Austrian woods you know walking barefoot would be a challenge but dancing?! She is tougher than you might think. And the other one is Mulan. Strong misguided and stubborn. What´s not to like and I even like Mulan 2 and even the live action movie: The hair flip scene when she is ridding into battle is just epic and it helps if you have X-Men like agility and durability as well (for no apparent or explained reason).

Have you thought of having an apprentice when it comes to doll repaints?Can you do a vampire doll custom?Has anyone thought of doing something like Lavendertowne drawing characters based on their book descriptions I thought someone should do that but with dolls. There's this new trend of people starting to pick original Disney films apart but I think they're missing the major details that are very inspiring Cinderella came from nothing she was treated like crap and even as a girl with rags for clothing and being treated so bad she could still be a princess she could still have her dreams come true and belle was an outcast she was thought as strange to other people because she loved reading and was intelligent and kind-hearted and could see people for what they really were hence why she didn't have any attraction to the handsome slime bag like all the other girls original Disney princesses have had hardship they we're not living their best lifes and I believe that they always showed little girls and everyone else that no matter your circumstances you can do better and your dreams can come true and I think this is the fine part of Disney traditional films that have been missed instead they're being picked apart for the most stupid reasons

I can see where you are coming from, however Cinderella didn't do anything to help herself. There's plenty of people irl who sit on their ass and wait for a miracle, but life doesn't work that way. While for example princess Tiana who actually came from a poor family was working hard towards her dream, and was really inspiring. The beast was spoiled and cruel before he was cursed, he wasn't a good man from the get go. And Gaston was a typical hero, not different from Hercules. Hercules, however, is seen as a good guy because he's the main girls love interest. She didn't choose him for a big brain, you know. Btw I don't think any of these things really matter for kids, because they don't think that deep. They want magic and colorful effects. But a little reality check would be nice for the adults, and my content is for them.

turns out i've been misjudging gaston all this time as being a raging egomaniacal narcissistic misogynist? apparently the fact that he didn't think women should have ideas or opinions, his belief that belle's opinion of whether she should marry him or not wasn't even a consideration, the fact that he was willing to blackmail belle into marriage by threatening her father with being wrongfully institutionalized were not villainous actions due to his innate lack of basic human decency, but were, in fact, due to his lack of access to formal education. shame on me.

Hahaha I was waiting for this comment! The beast kept her hostage too and threatened her dad, he only changed in the end of the movie. May be Gaston would change too if Belle talked to him 💁🏻‍♀️ also if I remember it correctly, when people were bad mouthing Belle Gaston told them to shut up. So I think he appreciated her more than it might look like.

The guy has a strong will, he is a good hunter, he's taking care of himself, has a good physique, he's brave- it's like a typical hero from any other story. If I was him I wouldn't settle for someone who's not at least as good as myself. He might be self centered but he was objectively the best man in town, and he knows his worth.

@@DollAfterlife yeah. you said this in the video. i'm not arguing that the beast is not a villain, i'm just saying gaston is a villain. the belle/beast dynamic is widely seen as problematic. my only points are: that gaston's actions are in fact villainous. and that belle makes the choice to give her time and affections to the beast. she rejected gaston as is her right. and belle recreating a similar dynamic with gaston in which she helps him be a better man is just equally if not more problematic. ps. i only remember that gaston shuts up lefou when he talks about belle's father because belle is standing there. he is trying to court her.
