Man o man is that some insane labor intensive work. 🤣🤣. I don’t know what I’d do if when I went to bed and woke up I wasn’t insanely painfully sore but absolutely beating my body to death day in and day out for $$$. I renovate lawns and do higher end lawn(turf) maintenance ect. I’ve been and most like am Going to add roof , house and surface softwashing as the Lawn Reno side slows a bit in July-Aug. I think I could make a fairly ez killing in my turf slow months doing this . I’ve found your channel and your much easier to watch and “like” over some of these FOOTBALL head Guys who have softwash channels 🤢🤢 there a bit hard to watch and listen to “arrogant know it alls” is how they come across if u ask me. Those pull string style packs some kids use them for back packs but they are cheap lightweight and make for great storage bags for the collapsing houses…. Another thing that makes that style hose nice is the shut of valve they have on them. $25-75on Amazon 50-100’. Can’t beat that.

I saw one time in a video put out by Cody at Southeast soft wash him and his guy I forget his name he's cool.. They suggested using a sprinkler to do the ground watering while washing roofs by oneself. Just thought I would throw that out there to you I may try it when doing roofs by myself. Seems like one more thing to manage and take care of but eliminates the worry of ground saturation and plant management or even decks and driveways Let me know what you think! ✌🤟🤟👍 Looks like you were enjoying your new rig

Piece of advice I worked on roofs for over 15 years take it or leave it if you know you'll be walking on the roof and the ladder will be in one place for the duration of your roof work secure your ladder to rafter tails with a ladder strap i know that's adding more to your work load but it only takes a few minutes to set it up believe me ladder strap will give you and your family a piece of mind knowing you're secure other than that I love your rig i just subbed too

Just starting out, my biggest downfall is hoses! They tangle and get bunched up like crazy (Mainly the pressure hose when surface cleaning). What kind of hoses are you running for your pressure hose and softwash hoses? I love how simple it was for you to reel them up with little to no issue. Right now we're only x jetting for house washes but looking into a softwash setup very soon.

Buddy, you need to get that downstream set up...I have both 12v and downstream....downstream is vastly superior 95% of the time. And, I have heard you mention problems associated with downstream...there are virtually no problems with it. If I could only have one system...it would definitely be downstream. There are places that you need 12v...but overall it does not compare to downstreaming...that is the reason downstreaming is by far the preferred method of professional washers.
@YoungAmbitionYA
@YoungAmbitionYA 2 жыл бұрын
Hey Jimmy Completely agree and i will DS eventually. i make plenty of coin with 12v so im just in no rush to switch for something i dont need. DS is nice but not needed. @YoungAmbitionYA

I personally dont like using surfactant on a house wash. Only on roofs. It makes rinsing the siding easier and quicker and doesnt leave streaks. The first house where I rubbed had preexisting color damage to the siding. That's the only place I rubbed and the darkness didn't come off.

Congrats on the skid you're going to love it. I love FB marketing using paid/boosted ads on my business page. I'd peel $250 off of your couple grand and start with a nice ad and boost it in your area to get a feel. With $250 ad and a 30-50 mile radius you can reach thousands. I also like door to door direct mail. Gets right in front of your customers but is more pricey - yet effective. Talk to USPS or another local print shop. I also use home advisor which is great

Young Ambition Soft Wash I’ve been following both those guys, a lot of good stuff. I’m trying to put things together to get up and going. I’m new to this, I’ve been studying all i can. I’m in south jersey, i just hope the market is out there to make a living. After 37 yrs i lost my job because of this pandemic.

Depends on the day. Not usually since the mix is low. If it's real hot out I wear one because the vapors tend to be worse. I always use a respirator on roof washes

Where are you located? The reason I ask is because you are definitely not charging enough but I'm not sure if that's the going rate for your area. I still think you could charge more. Atleast $400 for that first house and around $900 for that second one.

For example your 12v is say 90 psi @ 5 gpm by the time it gets to your gun out the trigger it’s probably 40 psi at 2.5 gpm. Your pressure washer if 3000 psi @ 5.5 gpm that amount of fluid dynamic force will virtually be maintained when it comes out your gun after 200 ft of 3/8 pressure hose... you can reach higher and apply more volume to the surface when soaping or rinsing. Also with a 5.5 gpm unit you can control your soap and rinse effectively by just switching tips to draw your chem or rinse. I could go on forever but really you need to do endless hours of reading and research in the right places. The downside to down streaming is your limited SH dilution deeming it only good for things like washing a house or deck / railings. That unit you have looks brand new and you’re just getting into the business. The vendor that sold you that poorly designed system should be educating you also on best methods / practices / protocols on how to actually clean safely and effectively with it. I would stay far away from guys like peach state for advice as he hasn’t washed longer then a year in the business.

@@YoungAmbitionYA LOL. I'm just salty. I didn't see squat around here but one or 2 companies that offer washing. I decide to take the entry plunge and now all of a sudden all kinds of people and companies. I quoted my 9-5 boss 1500 for 7200sqft siding/block wash. I'd throw in cleaning the awnings and also the surface cleaning of a 20' walk and was also going to hit our sign out front which is block as a bonus. He laughed at me, kinda. People around here are wanting that $99 guy and I'm not it, but also not making any money either. :/
