Great slapstick comedy from Joan. Beverly does some good double talk in library. Florence Bates in her old age really did a good role.

Yeah, Florence Bates was one my favourite character actors. Check her out with Kirk Douglas in (my dear secretary) a not so well known movie but a great see.

Inasmuch as Joan Davis was a great acrobat and did all her own stunts, I wonder if they used a double in the very last scene in the library when all the books fell.

Very silly. However, Joan Davis is as good as it gets. And a treat to see FLorence Bates, who could play dragon lady's better than anyone.

She’s as funny as Lucy, she just didn’t have a Fred and Ethel Mertz to liven up her show. The network was stupid for not putting this show in a time slot where it could get the high ratings it deserved.
