I admire your guys so much for being so responsible and taking such a huge step at such a young age! Priorities should change once you make life altering decisions and just because you guys make “a lot” of money doesn’t mean you have to spend it ? The way i see it is you guys are being conscious about financial responsibilities that come along with being 1st Time home owners & your supporters should understand that. If there’s a more affordable way of being able to still shop and spoil yourself a then why not? Thrifting, consignment shops, apps like poshmark, thread up, let go, are all awesome ways to save money while still “splurging “ a little! Mascara recommendation- from Ulta it's called "essence lash princess". So cheap, stays PUT, and is really lengthening/buildable. Just wipe off excess on a napkin to avoid clumpy lashes

Hi Weylie! Try the Kiss Me Heroine Mascara! I have Asian eyelashes and have been using it for years. I've tried many other mascaras, but they don't hold my lashes up. The Kiss Me Heroine Mascara (I like the long & curl one) isn't heavy and really lengthens your eyelashes. It's also waterproof, which is perfect because I live in Arizona. I would say that it won't smudge until maybe after 6 or 7 hours, but I think that can also depend on your eyeliner.

Yay loving all the blogs this week! I have oily monolids too and while I like lash paradise a lot the ONLY formula that doesn’t smudge on me is covergirl’s water resistant formula. Every other lash formula I’ve tried smudges on me, even waterproof versions.

Urban Decay Troublemaker mascara is really good! Its smudge proof and it lengthens the lashes too. And if it doesnt work for you, i suggest priming ur lids and undereye even if you dont have any eyeshadows on. Prime your lids and set it lightly with translucent powder. No smudging should occur.

For the mascara, pretty much any waterproof mascara will work. I have extremely oily and hooded lids, and only waterproof will stay on. Plus waterproof means it'll hold a curl too. I really love the Loreal lash paradise ( i have it in waterproof) and it's supposed to be a dupe for the BTS mascara (and a lot of reviews I've seen shows they like the loreal better.)

I def agree with you at the end there weylie. I think making the effort goes on many diff levels too, like w/ people's diets. vegans shouldn't make vegetarians feel bad, and vegetarians shouldn't make those who eat meat every other day but making an effort to eat less of it feel bad. we're all entitled to our own diets and lifestyles, and as long as we make the effort, it's so, so much better than doing nothing when we're aware that we can do something!

So I am majoring in Neuroscience and am taking anatomy classes this course. We learned about the different layers of skin and how acne actually comes about and our professor recommended a regime that made sense. The outermost layer of our skin is keratinized which means there are a bunch of dead cells (dead skin) and it actually takes a pimple weeks to even grow out to the outer layer. To break down this layer, salicylic acid is the best to exfoliate it and benzoyl peroxide is best to kill the bacteria and prevent those pimples from popping out onto the epidermis. What he suggested was a Neutrogena wash that has salicylic acid, which most usually do and a 2.5% benzoyl peroxide acne treatment creme. After washing your face with the wash, apply the creme onto the areas you are breaking out at, and although your skin may be reddish and dry the first week of use, the results will be a high decrease in acne. The trick is to keep using this regime, I am in the dry stage right now and my skin is peeling, so hopefully in a couple weeks I will see the results. Hope this helps anyone!

I've tested out a few mascara for my short straight lashes but the one I've found the best for me is from a Japanese brand. It's called kiss me heroine make long and curl mascara super waterproof. Lash paradise, the non-waterproof formula! Literally the best mascara I've ever used. I usually get dry eyes from mascara, but this is the only mascara that doesn't do that or smudge.

I totally feel you in the oily eye lid thing! My gel liner and mascara use to transfer to the bottom of my lid and I was recommended the Laura Marcie eye powder and it helps so much! After I finish my eye makeup I use a small brush and pat the powder On my lower lid and it reduces the transfer a ton! I would highly recommend it (:

hey weylie! I had the same problem of my mascara smudging no matter which one I wore so I started setting my under eyes with translucent powder and it totally does the trick! You don't even need to be wearing concealer or anything just put a little bit of powder, let it set a little and dust it off :)

WEYLIE! I use the Heroine Make Volume and Curl Mascara (super waterproof). I believe it’s a Japanese brand. I have monolids AND pin-straight eyelashes...but this mascara can hold a curl longer than any mascara I’ve tried 💪🏻💪🏻💪🏻

I agree with you on the effort for being conscious of fashion ethics. This is just the same as becoming vegan or buying cruelty free. I highly doubt that everyone who is dissing you on being a hypocrite are ALL THOSE THREE things themselves: completely vegan, etc. We already go enough to handle in life. If you can spread the word about tuna being endangered, then that's great. Or if you are able to understand that a certain store chain isn't great to their workers, then that's awesome. Little by little all of these difference will add up. Just like a credit card statement. One minute you're only spending $15 on lunch, and then suddenly the month's statement is $400. I'm glad that more people are making an effort.

Hi Weylie. You should try out NERD skincare if you have the breakout problem. They use a more natural way to tackle your acne problem. Most of the acne products on market including Curology also only can help your acne problem temporarily and they even will irritate your skin since they all use acid.
