Amazing how far people will go to avoid reading instructions. This maintenance info readily available.

@@woodendayzthanks for making this video. I’m trying to really learn about the safety hazards, the maintenance, the extra things I need like the air assist for fires, the chiller and stuff like that. Any thoughts on what to research? What problems I’m going to encounter and how to best setup my station? Do you have a surge protector or anything special for power?

Just research C02 lasers in general yeh you should have a serge protector on the laser itself iv been very fortunate with mine as I havnt had many problems at all my machine had been great I did the air assist myself using the ultimate air assist kit that I bought from Amazon and that made a huge difference so definitely recommend doing that

There is a video on youtube with a guy using masking tape to align the mirrors. You have to check a dot in the center of each mirror and masking tape helps checking that dot.

Hi JP, Yeh that’s how I aligned mine I went into it without doing any research and quickly found out the hard way what not to do, eventually got it sorted! thanks for watching!

Did your adjustments make any difference with the power settings used to cut? You didn't mention whether you solved the original issue you set out to correct.

Hi, yeh it definitely did make a difference I was able to cut my 3mm at 30% power with a speed of 12mm/sec and my cuts are now consistent across the whole bed where as before it would vary from the top left of the machine to the bottom right so the adjustment was definitely needed but I think the main thing is to keep the lense clean it’s surprising how dirty it can get I clean my lense and mirrors weekly now, Thanks for watching, Matt
