I SO get it!!!!!! 1st generation Beatle fan. Your story had me smiling and tearing up at the same time! I "met" Paul McCartney backstage at a concert in Atlanta in the early 90s. He went by the medical office on the back of a golf cart and all I could do was scream "PAAUUULL!!!!" He looked right at me and said "How ya doin'? You havin' a good time tonight?" I screamed, "YESSSS!" That’s all I was capable of.

I've watched a lot of the videos of Paul bringing fans up on stage and signing things for them, but this is the first one from the fans point of view and reaction. Thanks you for sharing. It was beautiful. I remember reading an interview of him back in the 80's where he commented that he couldn't see himself singing the 'harder' rock songs in his older years because he thought it might be foolish. Now, 25 years later, he's singing those songs because the fans want to hear them and he wants to perform them. He'll go until he can't go anymore.

This video is so enjoyable. I have watched it twice. I am a big fan myself, and I have been to several of McCartney's concerts in different countries. On a couple concerts I have made a small sign (like half a regular A4 papersheet) with a message to Paul. Both times he read it, pointed at himself, making a face like asking me "do you mean me?", and I nodded and smiled, and he smiled back. The feeling was intence and I started shaking, and it was just him and me for a few seconds. There is something special about that man. I mean beyond beging the most talended musician I know. I also want to add that the drawings are wonderful, and I would touch that nice hair as well if I had the chance 🙂

@@christellebilodeau No, thank you for posting your video! Its lovely to hear about fans encounters! Yes, the Wings gig was FAB! My older brother managed to get tickets! It was the first show featuring the new line up which included Jimmy McCulloch on lead guitar, and Joe English on drums. For me that was the best Wings line up. The best UK Wings gig would however be the following year in 1976 as the setlist would include songs from the Speed of Sound album. Unfortunately I couldn't get tickets for that show!

Hey Christelle! My young gf, pictures here loves my Paul story. I saw him in 1976 in Tucson AZ, on his birthday. My best friend and I got there at 4 am, general admission seating...we were in the first few through the doors later and ran right to the stage barricade, parked ourselves right in front of Paul's bass! Of course .. When the lights went down, Venus and Mars began...those first quiet notes finding their way across the audience, dry ice in the air, confetti everywhere starting to fall...then Rock Show exploded out the amps, the lights instantly came on bright, and there was Paul McCartney less than 10 feet from us, probably 5, and it was beyond surreal! He was like a god... talented, beautiful, near but still in a bubble...and I thought ..that's a Beatle right there! Maybe The Beatle...and I can almost touch him. Just being this close had made time stop, opened the portals of the universe, and is always going to be a miracle in my life. That this 16 year old kid, no job, high school , drummer, no money....got the best two seats in the house with his friend Jeff...At Paul McCartney, Wings Over America !!!
