Maaaaaan, I’ve been wanting to go to TFCon for YEARS! But expenses and job and responsibilities, etc. When I’m able to find my perfect footing (hopefully soon), I would LOVE to go. So far, my close second would be the North Dallas Toy Show that they hold in Plano, Tx every first Saturday of the month, and my God… it is amazing. Like… yeah, it’s a bit of a drive, and you aren’t able to meet any of the people who largely worked on TF, but you DO get to see how big a community that TF has… and there’s a LOT of figures that can be bought for prices better than EBay. I’m talking YARD SALE PRICES (except for original G1 figures, but that’s to be expected). And it’s not even just TF; there’s a LOT more over there, but it’s fun. Highly recommend if anyone’s ever in Texas.
