Yikes, come on ABC Science do better! After the Sol Foundation Academic Conference on UAP with talks from the likes of Professor of Physics Kevin Knuth and cancer-expert extraordinaire Gary Nolan or the recent publication of a sensor-based study of UAP off New York's Long Island coast there's serious scientists already doing serious science on this subject the absence of mention of which is glaring in this piece. And the Government secrecy line was appalling considering things ABC's science department has covered in it's history on things like secret medical experiments on USA prisoners and soldiers, the secret Australian testing on behalf of the UK of radiation spreading from the UK's Australian nuclear test and more all of which took many decades to come to light. Maybe ABC science journalists need to watch/listen to more from the ABC science archives! How about a follow-up piece interviewing Kevin Knuth or Gary Nolan or John Todesco on their scientific work on this subject?

Poorly researched take on the topic. There's plenty of high level scientists that have done a plethora of research on the topic such as Gary Nolan, which has metamaterials that are clearly engineered and have atomic compositions unable to be produced by humans. A reporter believing that the government would not cover something up that they are trying to reverse engineer before china or russia does is laughable. This reporter should talk to Ross Coulthart.

An scientist, inventor, businessman and strong believer, who has "metamaterials", what a coincidence.

What are you trying to imply? That he built revolutionary new technology himself and pretends it’s not samples given to him to analyse from UAP events? To do what? Get rich somehow from the UAP claim when the tech to make the samples would make him rich anyway? And what’s your excuse for Physics Professor Kevin Knuth? Or the Todesco brothers whose sensor-based UAP study was recently published?
@mlem69512 ай бұрын
@@baynemacgregor8441 I didn't found anything scientific published from the Brothers. Everyone can publish anything, dosn't mean it is hard evidence. Again, as i asked the other Person. When there is so hard evidence and even technology the goverment disguise. Why isn't any other country, who is or was in war, use this technology? Oh wait, i forgot, even though there are sightings everywhere, only the USA Goverment has all this stuff, of course...

Absolutely. After respected scientists like Kevin Knuth and Gary Nolan have come out about their work on the topic and John Todesco and his brother had their study on using radar and IR sensors to gather data on UAP off Long Island published this piece was out of date long before it was made lol.

WOULD the government cover it up? you mean again? you already showed a picture of Kirkpatrick, you were so close to the actual story here. what about all the actual people before who came out AFTER a big government research board and said the project was supposed to just play things down publicly (Heynek, Ruppelt, Hillenkoetter in the old days, Elizondo, Grusch, Nell, Mellon recently, to name just the obvious ones) This is all open information..

Absolutely d'accord. But this life does not necessarily have to be technologically more advanced than us, or perhaps it is not interested in technology or the cosmos. If they are, which may well be the case, then the aliens are subject to the same travelling problems that we have: the insanely long distances and the limitation to a maximum speed of light. 🚀👽

@Cerbera66 but we are already working on Von Neumann probes to explore other star systems that will take thousands of years to get there. And as biological printing tech gets up and running such a device could build the crew on arrival. That the distances are vast is immaterial if such measures are taken.

Certainly, however after seeing 20 years ago in broad daylight, a small metal sphere over a field beside the highway between Armidale and Uralla perfectly motionless in strong wind near both a CSIRO research station and a Lockheed Martin Space Tracking Station any government with such breakthrough tech 20 years ago should have altered the world by now militarily at least, especially when brazenly displayed in full view of a busy highway in the middle of the day.
