56:35 this is an interesting interaction. The spell kills 3 minions, but that 1 skeleton finishes off the 2/4 and the spell summons 4 voletile skeletons, even though that 1 minion didn't get killed by the spell, but by the skeleton.

I've seen these "perfect board for Deathborne" moments a little bit too frequently, not to mention the fact that Deathborne has a ton of sinergy with already summoned skeletons, as their deathrattle can kill another minion, which triggers another summon of a skeleton

I’ve been reading comments looking for peoples thoughts on how I played, and this hit me right in the feels good man. I figured of Mayor Value Town had Mutanus in his deck, and I was holding Denathrius from opening hand, and didn’t want him to eat it, so was trying to get him to play it after Taelan died so I had more minions in hand. Deathborne creates the perfect board for Deathborne. I always forget that wild pyromancer isn't a paladin card.

When you play deathborne with any volatile skeletons on board, if the skeleton's deathrattles kill anything, deathborne summons additional skeletons, because the deaths resolve before summoning to determine how many skeletons to summon. So the card is better when you have a few skeletons already on the board.

I think most combo decks suffer more from face hunter and imp warlock than they do from theothar. even with 40hp you can be dead by turn 5 if you dont have any answers.

I built this deck (but cut murloc Holmes) and went 12-1 (only loss was again a ridiculous death rattle rougue who summoned two 8/8s with rush on turn 4 and then summoned another 9 throughout the rest of the game) Didn't expect it to be so good but it seems solid!

I'm sure I'm not the first person to say this but the environment/room cards would be so much cooler if they changed the appearance of one side of the board. At the moment, they're basically just a minion which has a slightly different effect. It would be fun if they changed the ambience of the board.

Me too, but theotar is a disgusting card that actually makes me not want to play hearthstone these days... I do not like the design at all, it's like a much better mutanus, 3 times the chance to hit a very important piece of a deck whether it's skeleton mage, Denathrius druid etc... sometimes it's just the least funny experience ever.

I'm fairly certain you can set HS tracker to keept track of your opponent's deck and what turn a card entered their hand, so you would only have to note like 3-4 cards max.

Not really, trump just likes decks with loads of legendaries. I'm currently using miracle rogue which only has 2, Scabbs and Draka. And even then, Scabbs is optional.

Why the hell do you think that deathborne is supposed to suck?! It's a card that literally combos with itself and the entire deck it's in, it is a Consecration that puts debatably strong minions on the board for each minion killed for only 2 more mana. Not to mention the fact that if you kill volatile skeletons with it, it counts minions KILLED BY THEIR DEATHRATTLE for how many minions you summon. Really can't get behind this weird take you have that it's a bad card. It has around 58-60% winrate when drawn, and like a 60-65% winrate when played in that deck.

Consecration has not been a strong card in standard for a long time. Even blizzard was mostly used more as an extra copy of frost nova in freeze mage than for the damage. In standard meta before expansion there were many decks that can put a whole turn of more than 2 health threats on board on turn 6 that swing for lethal or close the next turn. Without skellies on board or softened targ If this card is good, it is because it is one of those cards that lives or dies with the strength of the overall package. And it wasn't known that the skeleton deathrattles count as deathborne killing. That plus the unexpected tempo of skellies early makes the card a dark horse strong card at pick, but it could easily have been garbage. It's not weird to think it was gonna suck. I don't know why so many trump viewers seem to have a weird obsession with calling him delusional when he's just regular levels of wrong

I'm gonna be honest, hearing the phrase "It's just a very fair deck" doesnt fill me with confidence as historical, the good decks are the *un*fair ones. In fact, in many card reviews Trump himself has stated that a card being fair is nowhere near good enough.

Ye it seems like you just can't do enough unfair things with paladins to compete in the long game against the likes of the other decks. In order for this to work you'd need to have a more offensive approach with some kind of Conviction-based play or something that puts enough pressure on your opponent.
