I've been to Dry Tortugas twice! An amazing place. Basically a 19th century Star Fort built on top of a tiny little atol, barely large enough to not be simply called a shallow sand bank. Was put there to protect shipping from piracy. You used to be able to get there from chartered tour float plane out of Key West. It's nearly a whole day round trip.
