I was somewhere in my late teens to early twenties when brony culture was at its peak popularity and i ended up sitting down and watching the entire first season out of a genuine curiosity why people my age and older were so obsessed with a "girly kids show" and genuinely enjoyed it enough to continue watching all the way to the final ep. That being said never had a lot of interest getting involved with the fandom very much, especially the fans that were closer to my age. They all seemed like a bunch of insecure man/womanchilds trying to justify their obsession by harassing kids online for enjoying a show literally made for them.

I honestly feel like the simple design of the canon mlp work a lot! I think I heard somehwere (not sure so don’t quote me on that) that simple designs are better for children developmentally wise so the design are simple on purpose and despite the simplicity each of the main 6 is unique in her own way and has different hair and silluoette that fit her personality and that goes for side characters too they did better then previous generations at least (im not one of those people who mindlessly trash on the previous generations but that’s just a critisism I have toward it) Still- it’s fine to have fun with it sometimes and your designs are gorgeous

I've been wanting to redesign gen 3 but they're already so perfect, so instead I just make them humans instead. Some of my favorite humans are Applejack the pretty southern baker and Rainbow Dash who's my favorite anyway and who I can give the most stylish outfits ever, so that's kinda funny how the gen 4 versions of those 2 are the ones being redesigned which I didn't register until after typing those 2's names. Edit: 11:46 This sounds so much like Sparkleworks, she'd even see if she could add more for the most over-the-top vibrant sparkler show ever

They aren't canonically married, it was made to be ambiguous so it's up to interpretation, same with Fluttershy and Discord. The creators basically made the ultimate QPP and went "Okay people, feel free to ship them together or with other people, or you can make then aromantic if you want! Now you kids can make whatever representation you want!"

I feel like these designs would work a lot better for an action adventure series. Which I'd like to see happen some day. . Personally, I think cutting AJ's hair is a bad choice. I think a bun would've been a better choice, so she could have her hair up while she works, and down the rest of the time. . Appledash? Really? You ship Appledash? Over the much superior ship, Ranch Dressing? . I feel like the reason they made the human versions' skin lighter than the ponies' fur, is because of saturation. If the skin was too bright and saturated, it'd look strange. But flat out desaturating the skin colors would make them "less marketable", when thinking of the little girl audience, since they prefer brighter colors.
