Z man makes a razor shad for a chatter bait trailer in hot snakes. It's juice and get more bites and has way more action than the Yamamoto trailer. Have you tried the Lews David Fritts cranking rod? Just curious if you like it or not. ✌️😎

I don’t know if you can beat Shimano in smooth and casting honestly. The SLX I had and the Caius I have are the smoothest reels I’ve ever used.

The slx and slx xt upgrades are the logo color and silent tune. So no not a lot different than the older versions. The silent tune makes for a very slight difference in smoothness during the cast and maybe cranking in.

TJ, thanks for the reassurance on Japan Lure Shop. One Shimano Aldebaran BFS and free Vision 110 later, I am stoked. By the way, the O ring on the silent tune of the spool shaft will create a vacuum sometimes. If it does, take the side plate off and pull the spool out a little to break the vacuum. Speaking of course on your SLX XT. Don’t send it back yet.

And on the cranking reel I still use the older version of the lews bb1 with 5.1.1 gear ratio I absolutely love it it’s still smoother than most my new reels with 12lb line I crank with it usually up to 8 foot deep crankbaits but I’m about to upgrade to new daiwa 150 as I’ve had this reel I think since 2015 or 2016 and put it to rest finally

I got the same Rod buckle set ups for my XF189 but the location I wanted to mount them was right where a support beam was in the deck😳 So it will be cool to see how you install them.

In my personal opinion I’m not much on the tungsten elite evo I prefer the regular 10 dollar version I love that one if I use a tungsten style I still use the jackhammer and I’ve become to really like the zman chatterspike trailer with the elite evo and jackhammer both

I looked at a Crestliner MX 21 at a local marine center about 18 months ago when I was shopping bass boats . The one I looked at was white and had a gigantic front deck . It had a 200 Yamaha . The price was unusually low and it immediately got my attention. The first issue though was its rod lockers wouldn’t even fit my 7’ 6” rods . I thought that was crazy for a 21 ‘ boat . All my rods are 7’6” or greater so it was not ideal . So I asked the Guy why is this boat so cheap ! Well this is what it was . This boat with a 200 on it wouldn’t even get on Plane !!! He said Crestliner was going to put some tabs on it to see if it would help . I heard some of these models chain walked but this one wouldn’t even go on plane. John Cox has one , but I think it’s the smaller one. I went back to the dealer 6 months later and it was still there . The boat was absolutely beautiful, but wouldn’t run and had crazy small rod storage.

Tranx 150 for shallow cranks & chatters 😮 isn't that reel a bit of an overkill 😢 A tranx is suited for 70-80 gram and up swimbaits. 😊 All day, every day 😂😂. I think your order wasn't OTT😁😁 but it IS a nice haul 💪😏👍😋🙌😝
