I don't think it's so much "censoring folks" as poorly tuned automatic algorithms handing out unmonitored [by humans] "copyright" strikes and such due to reaction videos [which generally should be covered under "fair use" as "commentary / discussion / educational / transformative" use], and little way for content creators to actually get a hold of people to get these issues sorted out. Which sucks. I don't think it's a per se intentional push to punish creators or silence them, so much as really shitty automatic algorithms handing out violations without any real guard-rails safeguarding creators themselves, to not be dealt with badly by KZbin algorithms in an unmonitored / "automatic" manner. I once had a couple test channels suspended for vague nonsense reasons, appealed it, and KZbin reinstated the channels and my account basically saying "sorry, we got it wrong, you're fine." So, it seems like the system just **automatically** flags certain things and you have to try to get a hold of an actual human being to fix things flagged in error... Which is irritating AF.

This same thing happened to the Family from New Zealand. They were basically abandoned by KZbin and KZbin was claiming all their revenue. They cleared it up recently after working with other creators. You should really reach out to them and see if they have some advice.

Okay, over here in America, in Upper Michigan, I finally just got this notification for your video. But reading in the comments.. this video is a few days old! Yet in my settings, I'm supposed to get notified whenever you go live or put out a video. Don't give up! I love this channel, because it's from Sweden. I don't know if it will help, but this video was recommended to me. The way to battle it is to mobilize your viewers. If you want to help Recky contact KZbin. You click on the 3 bars above the video window. Go all the way down to the bottom to 'Send Feedback' & click on that. Don't be rude but do be assertive that you want to know what is being done about this. And tell them you expect no more problems in the future!!

My guy I feel you. I haven't been in the situation of almost being sued but the channel being depressed and people not finding my videos. My views dropped off a cliff and got told everything on my channel looks normal and viewer tastes change. Take a break. I'm not going to lie, I'm taking a break from uploading reactions to youtube. I'm uploading only to my patreon as far as reactions are concerned and playing and experimenting with editing for reactions going forward. I'm going to wind up doing a bit of an experiment when I upload reactions to youtube again because I think uploading to a different channel, maybe even one associated with a different email address will get better reach than my channel with 100K+. It's frustrating and it's disheartning.

KZbin is very opaque & "black box" about it, with like no transparency or actual "reasoning" for a lot of it, and often no specific examples of bad behavior to cite, just some vague "you done something unspecific wrong, so we're shutting you down," which you then have to appeal and be like "I literally have no idea what you're talking about, since you didn't give any actual reason for it; WTF?? Here's what I'm doing and why it should be within the rules, fair use, or whatever..." (Which you often have to **guess** about since they don't actually tell you SPECIFICALLY what content got you flagged or the SPECIFIC reason why.)

I am so sorry you're dealing with this. You're the second long-time creator I've heard from this month who is saying that their revenue from KZbin is dropping so much they may have to stop posting to KZbin. One of them hadn't even been issued copyright strikes - KZbin had just been keeping a larger share of their revenue for no clear reason. I guess it's time for us to stop relying on KZbin and start using Patreon and mailing lists more since all of the social media platforms seem to be making it harder for creators and viewers to connect in ways they want to. On that note, KZbin *also* changed up my interface as a user in ways that seem designed to aggressively push new kinds of content at me while making it almost impossible for me to view my own KZbin history, which is making it harder for me to pick up where I left off in watching videos or series and making it harder for me to follow creators I have followed for a long time. I hope your Patreon is sufficient to get you through this challenging time. I haven't used Rumble much before, but another creator I follow also had to move over there recently after KZbin punished them for posting a certain type of educational content. I am beginning to think that moving to new platforms which allow us to connect directly is the safest way forward.

(Tl; dr: I hope you stick around if only to keep your loyal followers and friends in touch with you. There are options. ❤) I will press play on every video of yours and hit like. I love hearing your voice throughout my day. It’s been a couple years now and I can’t imagine not hearing your voice or seeing your face anymore. That would be unacceptable. My favorite content has always been the field trips and seeing the things you do and places you go. It’s not what you’ve done most often, but I love it. I’ve seen a couple of other “reactors” get punished by KZbin and post videos like this, expressing frustration. I feel that as long as you add your own content to a reaction, then it’s valid. But I can see KZbin not giving a crap about looking into that or making valid the work of reactors. Some people like me enjoy watching certain content way more with a reactor than alone. There are things I would not have watched if not for you bringing it and being there to share with. That has to be a valid channel. KZbin should get to work figuring out a way to give credit or views or compensation to the channel being reacted to. That’s a project they’re not doing but they have the power to do so. Anyway, getting to know you and Carol over the past couple years has been special to me and helped me through some rough times as well as made me laugh in the good times. I hope you persevere, even if it’s to go back to simple stuff like playing games, live chatting, and showing your daily lives and local history. Please stick around on whatever level you can. It doesn’t have to be a money maker. It doesn’t have to mean posting several times a week. Just being consistent and present. But I wonder if KZbin would give you as much crap if you are able to find your own unique content like the not cooking shows, playing games, and taking us on local adventures. Who knows. Maybe you could go on your own ghost hunts? There must be some haunted places near you. Even if you take us there and tell us the stories instead of an actual ghost hunt. I've seen so many times I find a good channel for reaction video and they get punished by KZbin and then I can't find their channel anymore. I am sub'd to many channels that recently have reported this same situatrion. In my opinion, it appears that KZbin is just playing games with content creators for what would seem just for their pure enjoyment and entertainment. More and more of these major corporations seem to be playing games with people's lives just because they belive they can, with no other purpose than to play games with people. People should band together and figure out a way to mess with thei lives of these executives that want to play games with people. If people could rally and hit their pockets deep enough to financially cripple them, then maybe it wouldn't be so much fun for them anymore. The way I see it is that KARMA just hasn't gotten around to them yet.

I didn't know you had a Rumble channel. I just subscribed (Followed) over there. 🙂 One youtuber I watch does her live broadcasts on YT but then uploads them on R the very next day. Good back-up plan! With that said, I can't wait to see you & Carol at the new place doing garden, yard & house projects! ♥

You are not the only one going through this on this platform. Last week they held back the pay on original contract saying it was "a glitch" this platform is trying to find anyway possible to take advantage of the creators that use the platform. Hang in there and never give up.

Oh no! We can't lose you Recky! You are one of the very few YT channels I watch regularly. 💜 I don't know if any of this will help but here's my only thoughts: 1. Straight up ask the other ppl before you share their vids. That way you can reduce that worry. 2. Don't hesitate to pause and rewind vids you watch. (playing them straight through without any pause, rewind, added info throughout etc. is what is most likely to annoy other content creators) 3. Share your vids as Reels on KZbin to expand your audience and draw more folks here. 4. Consider creating a second KZbin channel. Even other creators doing well do this. Use this channel to start building up the second. The second one may dodge the repression bullet aimed at this one, and gives you a fallback. also your linktree isn't working 😅 Honestly hoping for the best, crazy old goat retired schoolteacher🐐

So many of these videos posted by creators the last couple of years. All have in common that their views drops dramaticly. And we are even talking bout channels with in and around 1 mill subs. Not sure all of them have had copyright issues either just silently beeing shadow banned by YT.
