To me, this is a coup for UConn. For Jim, any improvement from the start (2-3 wins) is going to be greeted with nothing more than positivity. There’s a definite upside to coming to a program that has nothing to go but up. It gives you time to instill your philosophy and program, bring in the staff and talent you want, and be given the time to go about the way you want things done. I like the hire for UConn, and they should consider themselves fortunate to get someone with Jim’s resume. It reminds me of the time when SMU hired June Jones, and I can see similar results.

Coach Mora did a lot for UCLA. However, going from Manhattan Beach to Storrs is rough!
