That's because outside of the original arcade game, Nintendo didn't develop a majority of the mainline donkey kong games, most of them were outsourced to Rare and Nameco for their development with Nintendo only publishing them.

I know this probably won't get seen, but I just wanted to thank you guys for consistently uploading great content. I've been watching the whole group's vids for a couple years now. And I know it's what you all do for a living, but you guys do a really great job of making a viewer feel like they're part of your tight-knit group of friends. It's really helped me when a year and a half ago I found myself divorced with no friends or family for emotional support. That feeling of belonging to this family-like group of brothers helped me more than you could know. I know it sounds ridiculous that watching a group of grown men playing a children's game could make such a difference to someone who's alone lost in devastation and anguish. But I can attest that I'd be in a much worse spot now if I didn't have that sense of belonging. Keep up the fantastic work 👌🏼

One character I think would fit good as a pokemon would be Doopliss from Paper Mario: The Thousand Year Door. His main gimmick would be that you have to think of a name and your opponent has to guess what name. If they guess it right, you have to go for a weak attack, if they don’t guess the name right, you get to use transform just like Doopliss transforms into Mario in the game.

Hi Dylan, I know this comment might not get seen, but I have an idea for a cagelocke variant. It's called a Padlocke. So it's basically your normal cagelocke. However, when you or your team defeat your opponent in a cagelocke, you get to lock out one of their pokemon from being in the party. If they defeat you in the next cagelocke, they get to decide whether to unlock their pokemon or lock one of your pokemon from your party.

I think a really cool character to appear in one of these would be Nemesis, The King of Liberation. A Ghost Steel type that has Crest of Flames that works like Flame Body. A Signature move called Heaven's Fall that is 150 Steel type and works like Drain Punch, Bulky Physical Attacker, Decent Speed and no Special Attack. Basically, He's a Legendary

I think a cool character to use for this would be, Kazuma Kiryu from the Yakuza/Like a Dragon series. He could be a Dragon/Fighting type because he's the "Dragon of Dojima". He could also have an ability that relates to the heat mechanic in the series, maybe something like the ability moxie. As for moves: I think a move that's like stored power but physical, and it's called "heat action." Another move "Tiger Drop", which is an iconic move in the series, it could be a move like revenge or counter.

It could be really interesting to see an indie horror game character in one of these! White Face or HER from the game IMSCARED could have a Ghost typing, and with a secondary typing of Fairy for White Face (since many Fairy entries seem to make them both playful and terrifying) or Dark for HER (since she takes on a more specific, serious role), or an Electric typing for either since they're a video game (like, even in-fiction they're haunting the player's computer). Given the parking lot tag level, Shadow Tag should definitely be their main ability, though Download would also work well for a secondary one. Having the attack Shadow Sneak would work very well... Glare or Mean Look, too, possibly renamed to just Look (or "I can look at you" if you want to be creepy). Curse, Dark Void, False Surrender, Flatter, Pursuit, Torment are all moves that make sense... Maybe Phantom Force, Spirit Break, Conversion, Conversion 2, or even Dig, too? And they would both almost certainly have a high Speed stat. Madotsuki from Yume Nikki (I know, not quite a horror game, but still!) could be a Normal/Psychic type, for her being just an ordinary girl in the waking world but almost the entire game taking place in her extensive psychological dreamscape. Comatose should definitely be her ability (maybe renamed to something like Dream World or Dream Room to fit with her game... or just renamed to the original Japanese Sure Sleeper). Her moves could be taken from some of the effects she gathers throughout the game, renamed or not to fit them, like Rain Dance (Umbrella), Blizzard or Icy Wind (Snow Woman), Slash or Psycho Cut (Kitchen Knife), Teleport (Eye Palm), Perish Song (Flute), Follow Me (Cat), Spotlight (Lamp), Rapid Spin or Shift Gear (Bicycle), Boomburst (Oni), Glare (Traffic Light), or even just Yawn. Finally, you could always pull Spooky herself or one of the Specimens from Spooky's Jump Scare Mansion! Obviously, Spooky would be a Ghost type, and maybe a Ghost/Dark type, but Specimen 2 (Gel/Goop) could be a fun Ghost/Poison type, Specimen 5 (Bab) a Dark/Psychic type, Specimen 6 (Ben the Merchant) a Dark/Grass type, Specimen 8 (Deer Lord) a Fairy/Dark or Dark/Grass type, or Specimen 10 (Parasite) a Poison/Bug type; Hooked Doll could be a Ghost/Steel type, or Woormy Charles a Dark/Bug or Ghost/Bug type. A Persona character would be pretty cool, maybe Arsène (Joker’s first Persona in Persona 5) as a Fire/Ghost type with the ability Take Your Heart (Soul Heart renamed) since he’s a thief of hearts. He’d focus on SpAtk and HP, with some Speed points, and a potential moveset would be -Spectral Thief -Mystical Fire -Searing Shot -Heart Swap (Take Heart if done in SV, which is Legends Manpahy’s signature move) Their model would probably fit well if used over Darkrai or Hoopa-Unbound (if you want him to levitate off the ground a bit), or Ceruledge (if you just want him grounded) Great video btw! Character concept the knight from hollow knight. The type can be bug because they are a bug and ghost as he is a vessel which is basically a living being created by a certain character to contain a plague. I chose ghost as not only are they sorta not living but when they die they form shades, which are sort of like spirits as well as being made of something called void. Stats can be a high speed, mixed attacker as the knight can dodge many attacks and is proficient with both spells and melee combat and it's ability can either be nail master(sharpness) or spell master which can be a built in life orb as spells cost soul which is also used to heal and changes some signature moves to stronger varients. Stats Hp: 90 Attack: 115 Defense: 80 Special attack: 115 Special defense: 80 Speed: 120 Bst: 600 Signature moves Nail strike: 85 bp bug type slashing move. With the secondary effect of dealing super effective damage to enemies weak to steel. Moves Focus: heals 25% hp and applies aqua ring Vengeful spirit/shade soul Type: ghost special 95/105 bp move that has a 30% chance to burn and it never misses. Desolate dive/descending dark Ghost physical contact move 90/100 bp 100 accuracy This move ignores protect and breaks screens when successful. Howling wraiths/abyss shriek: 125/135 bp 75% accuracy ghost sound based move. Beam of light: 100 bp fairy move that hits both foes and has a 20% chance to confuse. After that we finally beat the the duo and then the knight ends up becoming something new. It sheds its original form and kills the cause of the infection and becomes the god of gods. The shade lord. And arceus just decides to join your team after noticing what radiance did to hallownest and decides to join you party. THE SHADE LORD Type is ghost dark as it fully sheds it's outer bug form and fully embraces the void Ability: god of gods The users attack and speed is boosted by 1.5 times. This is not a stat boost so it does not get ignored by unaware. Stats Hp: 125 Attack: 175 Defense: 125 Special attack: 70 Special defense: 125 Speed: 120 Bst 740 Signature moves Enveloping shadow Ghost physical Bp 100 traps opponent if successful. God tear: the user tries to tear apart the opponent with the power of a god Dark physical bp 120 hight crit chance.

I'd argue Raiden could be Electric/Dragon, because not only is Dragon given to a lot of legendary Pokemon including all of the Creation Trio, but it's also Mortal Kombat's entire iconic symbol of which Raiden even makes in his Injustice 2 super.

Next video game/cartoon character, Optimus Prime or Megatron from Transformers, and I already have the moves set perfectly for em, Optimus would have, Iron Defense, A custom Max Knuckle called “One Shall Stand”, a attack similar to Steel Beam called “Ion Cannon”, and the final move is Power Up Punch. Megatrons moves are, a custom move similar to Judgement or Hyper Beam but a steal type move called “Fusion Cannon”, Power Up Punch, Iron Defense, and a dark type Max Knuckle called “One Shall Fall”. Optimus’ ability could be, “Roll Out” which would basically be speed boost. Megatron’s ability would be named after one of his most famous quotes, “Peace through Tyranny” which is based anger point or whatever you see fit. They both would be steel types with Megatron being Steel/Dark, Optimus being Steel/Fighting. They should be the legendary or pseudo legendary, nothing else! Another option could be, Galvatron, a Steel/Dragon Type with the ability “Herald of Unicron” which is Wonder Guard. His moves would be, “Fusion Death Beam” which is Max Wyrmwind, “All Shall Fall” a dragon type max knuckle, “Unicrons Grace” or Dragon Dance, and Iron Defense. Or you can use Nemesis Prime, a Steel/Dark or Steel/Fighting type with the moves “None Shall Stand” a dark type max knuckle, “Ion Death Blast” which is Max Darkness, Whatever physical dark move there is, and Iron Defense. You know what why not just make a Transformers in Pokémon video? You’ll earn a new subscriber if ya do!

I feel like Dylan could’ve gotten away with making Kratos’ ability like the one that *EVERY* Ultra Beast has (since I feel like said ability is something that Kratos would have, due to the fact that he’d get stronger every time he gets a kill). Or maybe he’d have an ability that’s like Aegislash’s “Stance Change”, where his defense mode is him wielding his spear and shield, while his offense mode is him wielding the Blades of Exile/Chaos.

Any character from Slay the Spire would be cool. Each one has its own niche moves and abilities that can work with pokemon. The Watcher can have stance change for going into Wrath and Calm, the Silent can have poison touch or merciless. Maybe give them moody because it's a rouge like game and rng is a big part of the gameplay.

In the next video game characters as Pokemon I want Primordial Malzeno from Monster Hunter as the legendary and Fecto Elfilis from Kirby as the pseudo Legendary because they are both insanely broken and powerful along with having amazing lore

Primordial Malzeno’s typing would be in my opinion Dragon and Steel type since it works for him due to him being immune to the affliction and the Qurio also for Fecto Elfilis’s type I was think Fighting and Fairy since it is a god of war and a conqueror in Kirby so it would work with them thematically (Side note:Primordial Malzeno would be a male which Fecto Elfilis would be Genderless since it’s fused with Elfilin who is a girl I am guessing and Fecto Forgo who is a guy since it’s always called a They and not a he or she)

A whole Street Fighter vs Mortal Kombat team would be dope. For the sake of keeping things fresh, I'll rule Raiden out. However Fire God Liu Kang and Akuma as the pseudos seem fair. Ryu, Ken, Scorpion, and Sub-Zero would make sense to have the starters 530 base Stat total. I mean honestly most of the standard fighters seem fair to have 525 to 535. Shao Kahn and M Bison being the franchises respective Big bosses just screams box art legendary stats. I mean you can mix the typings well. MK Team Sub-zero: Ice/Fighting Scorpion: Fire/Ghost (he's a spector) Jax: Fighting/Steel Kitana: Fairy/Fighting Fire God Liu Kang: Fire/Electric Shao Kahn: Dark/Dragon (Shao doesn't as much with his fist. He commands great levels of dark magic and he's depicted to be draconic in nature) SF Team Ryu: Pure Fighting Ken: Fire/Fighting Chun Li: Fighting/Fairy (she does represent light pretty well) Zangief: Fighting/Steel (he has a body of iron!) Akuma: Dark/Fighting (he's a demon, enough said) M. Bison: Psychic/Fighting (c'mon psycho power)

I feel like Kirby would be a very good Pokémon since in smash bros he can be the other fighter and also have different copy abilities while link might also be a good one as well since I thought of him because of your shirt maybe sonic ganondorf shadow the hedge hog and others

Fun fact: there's a club penguin game on DS where you become an elite spy and save the city from (spoilers). Yeah. The spoilers are rampaging robots tearing the town apart looking for parts to build a giant robot.

a cool pokemon to have would be The Hollow Knight from Hollow Knight. it would be a Ghost Poison, Ghost Steel or Steel Poison im thinking of the ability "Vessel" " and im thinking it could work as Prism Armor. the two custom moves could be "Triple Slash" and could work like Triple Axel and the other custom move i feel like should be "Infection" due to him being a vessel to contain the infection, it would be 150 base power poison move with 50% recoil or something along those lines and it could maybe poison the opponent. im thinking the stat spread would be this if its a Legendary -Hp 115 -Attack 150 -Special Attack 130 -Defense 145 -Special Defense 70 -Speed 70 But feel free to change it however you'd like the last two moves could be Metal Claw and Shadow Sneak/Shadow Punch

I think Optimus Prime would be a Steel/Fairy type with the ability Tramformer(Stance Change). One form would be bulky turning into a truck and the other form would be strong and would be his robot form

If you ever do another one I'd love to see Merlin from "the Seven Deadly Sins" in it. You can give it a "Zero to Hero" like ability, where she has her original form first, and then she goes adult form after swapping out, but now her Special Attack is huge. Her swap-out move could be Teleport (since she does that all the time), and she could have moves like Hurricane (Endless Whirl), Photon Geyser (Exterminate Ray), and maybe a form of Protect (Perfect Cube)

I think it would be cool if you did duck hunt. A flying/normal, flying because of the duck. With the ability levitate, and his special move is can kick. (Or something along those lines) a fire physical move with a higher chance of critical hit, and chance of burn.
