Move the caster wheels to the recommended position. It will move the center of gravity... Think of the casters as a fulcrum. Moving the casters forward will make the front of the lever (the blower overhang) shorter and the power part of the machine (the back end of the lever) longer. Doing so it will put more weight on the back wheels... i.e., it will balance the machine better.

Try moving the first cable you connected to the other side, it looks like it would be much straighter and it would clear that belt much better.

@@jamesnm21I've bought several of the 2 stroke Toro's for less than $50 ea. off Craigslist. I think I paid $30 for the last one I bought several years ago. I love these things. All I've done is put a new scraper & rubber paddles on it. I just got another one I found on curb in trash. I thought is was just an old machine but upon further inspection when I got home. The piston is seized. I have it soaking for a week or so now, hopefully it breaks loose. Idk if it was run w\out 2 stroke oil in gas or just moisture and\or rain got in it from sitting outside. It was definitely sitting out in the weather, it has mud & leaves caked on the bottom. Worst case is I gotta put cylinder & rings on it to get it going. I doubt it though, these things are really hard to kill! May have to touch up the cylinder w\ a hone but idk yet. It was free, so IDC if I gotta spend a few bucks to get it going. I'm pretty sure the concoction I put in the cylinder last week will dissolve the rust & free it up. We shall see. Gonna wait til next week & not be inpatient. 👍🏻👌🏻💨⛷️❄️☃️⛽🛢️

Moving the casters back will make it easier for the front to lift the back off the ground. Tire chains might help, but I'm not sure how you feel about chains on your concrete. Your piling problem might just be this snow was really wet--snowball snow. Maybe lighter density snow will flow thru better. I've had similar problems with my snowblower. wet snow piles up but "regular" snow flows well. 🚜❄

0:49 If that was my machine, I'd rotate the black vertical support bracket around, so that mounting bolt is on the inside of the frame (not outside). I'd attach the shoot cable end on the outside of the bracket, not between the bracket and the black support arm. Bonus: Get a Yeti Rambler Bottle and Bottle Sling, to carry hot beverages (anti-freeze).

You need to do a modification to the impeller in order to get the snow out of the shut faster that way it will clear it self better and it will throw the snow farther out. Remove the shut and measure the propeller paddles and install pieces of conveyor belt to the impeller. There is a video on KZbin that shows how to do this modification. It works I did it to my 2 stage snow blower and it does the job including the slushy snow also.

3:25 This is a drainage hose. It is necessary so that, under high load, the oil seal in the hydraulic motor does not squeeze out. If you close this exit, the hydraulic motor will break down. Find a way to connect this hose to the oil tank, otherwise the oil will gradually leak out of the system.

That 3rd hose is called a case drain. It is supposed to go back into the tank, directly. You will crack the case on the hydraulic motor or blow out the seals without it connected. I would not operate the snow blower without the case drain connected.
@bluethunder1951
@bluethunder1951 8 ай бұрын
I looked at the manual and you have the “high flow setup” on the attachment. My suggestion is to look at the hydraulic tank to see if the case drain adapter (male plug fitting) is missing, it should be between the two large hoses. Without case drain it puts back pressure on the end of the pump and will eventually cause it to fail or run poorly.

Your extra line is a case drain for your hydraulic motor....low pressure and should be connected so that the flow can be returned back to the main hydraulic reseverior.

moving those small front wheels forward will help put more weight on the back wheels. The further you take them back, the less weight will be put on the back wheels. Think of it as a see-saw. Trust the manufacturer on this one.

You have oil feed and return and the small line is case drain which is needed for motor internal leakage, gotta have it or your motor may have issues! Case drain usually runs back to tank no restrictions.

@JDseller1
@JDseller1 7 ай бұрын
Snow blowers are a slower way to move snow. If your only having 3-5 inches then use a front blade. The pile in the front is normal with snow blowers. Snow blowers take HUGE horsepower. That blower looks to be around four foot wide. I use an eight foot wide snow blower on a 150 HP tractor and I can run out of power in deeper snow. Things to help it work better. 1) As other have posted move the wheels as far forward as you can. You have them in the worst place for that heavy front load. 2) Like others pointed out get that third hose hooked up so it returns to the tank without any back pressure. 3) Install you rear wheel weight and lower the rear tire pressure. That will make the tires have a larger foot print. I really think that as a commercial contractor, this unit is going to be too slow and is more of a gimmick than a helpful tool. Multi attachment units usually do nothing great and lots of things half way.

Apparently you never studied physics in high school. The further forward the casters, the more of the snowblower weight they will carry and the more weight you will have on your rear wheels. Following the instructions in your manual will probably improve the efficiency of your operation. To be fair, a snowblower’s performance is at the worst in heavy, packy snow. And having your shute higher will allow you to blow the snow further.

Check to confirm your impeller is at 2600 Feet Per Minute or greater. Also check the clearance between the impeller blades and the impeller housing is close. And please don’t blow gravel. Watching your video I can see your blower is anemic. That’s the reason I didn’t use a hydrolics motor.
@jeffkimmel8226

The third line is a case drain line for the hydraulic motor. It needs to be routed to the return side of the system. Without it being open to return, it is fighting itself and won't operate as it should. Most likely a reason for the poor performance of the blower.

One other person said it, the cable is mounted on the wrong side of the bracket, that is why the bolt does not fit, that " thrust " washer should be put in it's proper place, I would also highly suggest anti-seize compound on the threads, ya the gooy stuff, locktite is a good product, but call me old fashioned....it's messy but it works, locktite not so much in colder temps.... a small lick of grease on all pivot points you can, will save you money down the road, too bad toro did not make a electric joystick type of setup for chute control, they have those electric lift rods on ali express... and never, ever, ever clean the chute or auger while the machine is running... :) sorry cant help it, gotta add the safety tip

so I see the snow is not blowing very far out the chute, on the spinning stage (ie 2 stage snowblower) the spinning part that blows the snow out the chute, their is a 1 inch space in the back that gets packed with ice plow slop from the street and turns in ice/hard packed snow. next time look for that when the snow is not shooting out far PS my snowmachine is a walk behind one.

I used to really rely on Toro machines but over the 10 years I have found their quality to be lacking. I have gone to Husqvarna for all of my snowblower needs. They are quicker, more fuel efficient, and throws the snow 3 times farther without clogging like my old Toros did. Plus they are about 15 percent less expensive and I don't have to drive 140 miles to the only Toro dealer in Alaska to buy parts. I can get parts for my Husqvarnas and my Hondas locally.
