Well done, Matt. Good video. Welcome to the Kapiti Coast. Spring is the worst time for wind, but the fishing is good when it calms down. You sold me a handheld VHF at your new job.

Good to see you hanging in there. Weather here in NW Florida is starting to change to fall. Its down in the upper 80"s . Looking forward to see what adventures are in store for you. Thanks for sharing your journey mate. I caught a bunch of leaping ladyfish this weekend and did a long distance release on a small tarpon. A bucket list fish.

Thanks Matt. The hip pain and groin pain is hell at night but I'll beat it only thing I'm supposed to be in London in October for promotion to 8th Dan but I'm not going to make it that sucks I've tried 3 times to make a video but just couldn't get it together. But your videos have stepped up. Really enjoy watching the fishing 🎣 and seeing your beautiful country. It's 🥵 hot and humid as hell here hopefully the weather will clear up there soon the red fish are great 👍 but would love to see you land one of those huge king 🐟 fish is love to fight one. Who knows the West Coast might have a few meter long ones I'll be watching cheers Matt

Eh bro..for a first video of yours I've ever seen this was vibing, I love kahawai it's such a underrated fish I reckon in New Zealand. Also can't go wrong with the old Toyota hiace solid as. You have a mean setup. As another who lives in a van I feel yah with the leaks 😂, mine leaked in the most random places to, I gave everything away to start my next adventure together, Gonna backpack all around and all over the country should make a wild adventure I'm hoping. Have an amazing week.

@NomadicKayakFishing +That sounds like a OG Toyota the engine never died..I had old hilux was under water for 3 weeks swamped.got it back did a few simple things it started right up. Definitely will be a wild adventure..I agree that money isn't everything, the adventures we have in life is the real wealth. Definitely ready to bust out some kms and see some epic sights
