Have you ever heard of the “Gullah people” or “Gullah geechee” people of USA? It was a group of people who were from Congo, Angola, and Sierra Leone who were brought over as slaves but were able to stay hidden for years, isolated from the rest of the country . Because of that, they act more African than American , and their Gullah language is a mix of Kongo, Kimbundu, Val, and Mende.
