Absolutely if he works outside in the heat all day , then goes home to get drunk, passing out in his same clothes everyday and not changing them....Then when he FINALLY peels his socks off his feet he tries a 3 pointer at the laundry hamper and the socks go way too high (they have more weight than normal socks due to three days of sweat and grime build up) And hits the ceiling and stays there... Im living in a haunted house. I always wake up around 2am to the sound of a crying baby. It went on for 3 weeks until i couldnt take it anymore. Last night, i awoke again to the same sound. I said all the curses i can thought of in hopes to scare whatever it is thats making the sound. My phone rang. On the other line was my neighbor susan, apologizing for the troubles her new born baby is causing me. Out of shame, i moved out of that house first thing in the morning and now i live in the streets.

What a lackluster ending. It always bothers me when writers don't fully commit to the mystery and give up explaining whatever's going on. Sure leaving things slightly vague can be creepy but here it reads to me as a fairly lazy conclusion to an otherwise pretty interesting story

Sometimes the scariest thing about a situation or story is not knowing all the answers.

@@phoenixangel919 there is a BIG difference between leaving things vague so the reader can decide and the author themselves not knowing how to end the story so they give up and provide no hints or explanation. It's very very easy to tell when an author doesn't know how to end the story or doesn't feel like giving the story enough time to develop naturally. This is a VERY common, I would even say the most common, flaw of creepypastas. The story ends before it should and it's obvious the author had no idea how to actually end the story. This is the case here. We don't need all the answers but there should be hints

Ummmmm... dude... those spirits were probably just trying to get your attention. The silverware, the TV and lights, the blanket and air instead of heat. AND they seemed nice, with putting the silverware back after making a mess JUST to get attention, then folding the blanket back up, which was again used JUST to get attention, the spirit of the skeleton is pissed that you shut the door after he spent all that time trying to get your attention, notice it down there, or rather THEM down there, which is WHY the knocking/ pounding got louder, AND when you find remains in a crawl space under your bed, you SHOULD call the police so the spirits can be put to rest. Maybe? Duh!

Also, have to mention, which I haven’t seen anyone else mention in comments, that I always feel a lot if these stories are told from the killers POV? Not the victims, because, perpetrators always think or appear to reason out or try to rectify/and or, rationalize their actions, no matter how irrational it sounds. But hey, maybe that’s just me. 🤷🏻‍♀️

The protagonist, like many in 90% of these horror stories, makes some really dumbass decisions and in some cases overracts. This case they barely react like a normal person would. Seriously, any normal person I'm sure by the quilt incident would have moved out. It really irritates me how nonchalant and illogical this character is.

This same ish thing has happened to me!!!! I got up to pee one night and when I got back it looked like someone was laying in my bed...I ripped the covers off and threw them to the floor...no one was there...I climbed in huddled up under the sheet and eventually fell back to sleep at least for a moment because before I knew I opened my eyes and there was my blanket...as if over a person I said it wasn't funny and to stop and got no answer and then I pushed the assumed person and the blanket fell...I stayed up on the sofa watching TV until sunrise that night and when I opened my door there it was back on my bed, bed completely made(not that youd know but for me...that wasn't a thing I never made the bed) with the indent as if someone somewhat tall had laid on top of it.

4:30 "There is no scientific or logical explanation whatsoever" ... Infrasound? Stress-induced hallucinations? Schizophrenia? Brain tumor? Take your pick. Just because _you_ are scientifically illiterate doesn't mean there's no scientific explanation. I hate it when an author tells you there's no scientific explanation when there most certainly _are_ several explanations available. Just stating "there's no explanation" doesn't make your story better, it just comes off as lazy writing or lack of knowledge on the part of the author (or both). It _definitely_ comes off as a cheap tactic to manipulate your audience, and a better-inforned reader is going to call you out on it. If a character is going to say "there's no scientific explanation for this" they either need to have some character motivation for it (e.g. they're the superstitious type, they refuse to accept the possibility they may be mentally or physically ill, etc) or they need to address why the scientific explanations don't apply or are incredibly unlikely. Remember, this isn't a character saying "I really doubt the logical explanation", this is a character (really the author) saying "there _isn't_ a logical explanation". Okay then, either give us a reason to believe there isn't, or give us a reason why the _character_ wouldn't think there is. You don't need to write a scientific thesis categorically debunking every potential cause, just enough to give a layman reason to be onboard. If there are several commonly-known potential explanations that are left undressed your character just comes off as a moron. Sorry for the rant. I just really can't stand this kind of lazy rhetorical tactic in stories.
