Pier 21 food court (@ Terminal 21 mall in Asok) is supposed to be very cheap and good food prices because owners of the mall are not charging rent which is sometimes cheaper than street food or 7-11. /corrected as I thought it was government subsidized but actually subsidized by the owners of the Terminal 21 mall by not charging rent to the food venders which translates to low prices.

@kamolhengkiatisak1527Ай бұрын
Just a correction, food there is cheap because the owner of Terminal 21 does not collect rent in return for affordable price to attract customers to patronize Terminal 21. The Thai govt does not subsidize any private food vendors at all. The Commerce Ministry operates merchandise pick-up caravans occasionally selling essentials such as eggs, cooking oil at subsidized prices in poor communities. The price can be as cheaper upto 20% compared to general retail price. No food caravans ever!

If I remember correctly they have to buy the fixtures but pay no rent, the cheap food is a way to draw customers to the mall

Hi Dian after living in both Bangkok and Chiang Mai what city would you recommend as a base? I haven't been to C.M but have lived in BKK and other coastal places in Thailand but am a bit tired of the vibes in certain places.

I personally prefer Chiang Mai for longterm cause i like the nature and more of a slow paced place

Nice video....BUT you cannot live in BKK long-term paying the prices you are paying for food, rent...etc. It is simply NOT sustainable -> but please DO enjoy yourself! Just understand, it will NOT last longer than your Passport Immigration visa Stamp: "Stay until date" Good Luck!!! 🤪
@DianHuangАй бұрын
