Watching this as an American currently auditioning for drama schools in the UK. It's very comforting to hear someone express the same concerns and ambitions I'm currently experiencing. I want to commend you for following your passions and dreams, because in my albeit limited opinion that is the most fulfilling thing one can do in life.

I’m thinking about doing the same… i wanna go to London to expand my art. I am a musician, sfx makeup artist, and now I’m studying to become an actor!! I don’t really enjoy the life i live here in my country and in my parents house, even though it’s blessed me so much!! But i still feel like there’s something missing yk. Still feel like i won’t find what i want here and always feel like i should be doing more! I have a job here and it’s helped me so much financially even though i hate it. I just feel like “how long am i gonna keep doing this? How long am i gonna be “waiting and saving”? I wanna be out there and do all the things that make me happy and get money from it, so i can do what i love for a living. I have so many talents, but i just feel like I’m wasting them living this life I’m living. I need more. I deserve more! I really wanna do this! I’m just really scared of doing this all and when i get there, get zero opportunities:(. That’s why you’re so courageous for doing what you did! People like you inspire me so much! You did! Hopefully we meet in London someday when i be there!

Hey! That sounds awesome :) so everyone has a different path but I would say Instagram accounts like the actors warehouse and working actors studio have really helpful advice so check them out. Basically you just want to start off by getting as much experience as possible! So joining a casting website like Mandy is a good place to start and just apply for lots of things. Student films are a really great way to get nice footage without having lots of experience. Hope that helps! ❤️
