I've been watching you for a long time. Don't beat yourself up about your work process or lack thereof. I'm a grandmother, and as I watch you and a few other resellers who are new moms, I am amazed that you accomplish as much as you do. Being a mom is a full time job in and off itself. So, really, pat yourself on the back because you can only do what you can do. Your business is different now than when you didn't have other responsiblities. My reselling income is a supplement to other income, and I am continuallly amazed at those who depend on it for their entire livelihood. You are doing great!!

This is the first reseller video I’ve seen where many of the sales took long to sell. It seems like most reseller videos I watch, they’re talking about items selling in less than a week-meanwhile, I’m here ecstatic if something sells in the first 90 days. It makes me feel like they have some secret sauce that I don’t possess 😂. This made me see (though I should be looking at my own homework) that stores/closets with inventory that flips in 30 days is NOT the majority. ❤

I'm not sure if this helps or not, but I had to tie listing in with another activity that I enjoy. As a mom to 3 littles, I really look forward to my downtime after they go to bed. I grab a Lacroix, put my earbuds in, watch KZbin videos, and list in the dark ❤ I SO look forward to the peace and quiet of this time that listing feels less like a grind. All the best to you! I appreciate you acknowledging that sales are slow for you because you haven't been listing. I see a lot of resellers complaining about slow sales constantly on social media. But if you look at their closets, they have no new listings in. I know not everyone uses the same listing strategies, but getting listings up consistently helps with the algorithms on every platform. Even if you don't have anything new to list, relist a few items!

If I remember correctly you had Billie around the time I was hit by a semi truck which, for obvious reasons, has also triggered major changes in how I am able to operate. I have a million modifications to implement to adjust to my limitations but one I have executed that makes listing so much simpler and faster is this. I have pre written template in List Perfectly for every category so they just need minor edits. I bought a wooden measuring stick which I photograph with clothing so no writing is needed. I photograph a batch and upload all the pics to List Perfectly so I always have listings awaiting completion in cued .When I have time I enter the correct template add details and it’s done. I’ve punched a hole in my death pile in a fraction of the time I was spending. I just keep adding new pics so I have always have a cue ready to finish each day.

Im a stay at home mom to two little ones, and I sell on Posh to help ends meet. It is very very hard to get other work done when you're home with kids! You are doing a hard thing, and you should be proud of yourself! It gets easier as they get a little older. I have learned so much from your channel, thank you!

Good morning, I set a pace for myself to list 10 new items a day. In the morning around 7 I do my shipping for the day then I get my photos done for the 10 listing that day. I take packages to post office around 9:30 or so. When I get home I silence my phone, no tv or anything else. I play music that gets me going and list till all 10 are done, usually takes about 1-2 hours. Then I work on preparing for live sales that day or work on my KZbin channel or any other business related things needing done. I have a set routine, had to do this for myself to make sure I was productive daily in my business. You got this girl!!!!❤

I don't see a lot of resellers on youtube who actually show their losses and items that don't work out but I think it's super helpful and important for those starting out to see that everyone does this! We all get some items that just don't do as well as we thought they would. It's actually pushing me to send out lowers offers on my items that have been sitting forever so I can just get most of my money back and invest it into better things now that I've learned way more than I knew when I started out.

As a Mom of two kids I realized early on that a low cost, high inventory model wasn’t going to work for me. My time is valuable so I’m focusing on sourcing a smaller number of high quality items that will give me a higher profit margin per unit. The same amount of money for less work essentially.

I feel you on the need to shift gears and re-focus! I'm having very similar mental conversations with myself. The inconsistency in sales is making me NUTS! I just need to put my head down and deliver on my daily listing goal and stop overthinking EVERYTHING. I appreciate that you are willing to be candid about what you're experiencing. Sales for me have been absolute trash despite listing, sending offers (even at 40%), lowering by 10% each time -- it's very discouraging, especially when you see other people making sales. Is anyone feeling the extreme slow down? I made zero sales on Posh on Sunday which I don't think has ever happened to me in years.

I force myself to list everyday on eBay and poshmark. It helps BUT…my 3 physical locations are slow right now - attributing it to end of school year expenses, vacations, and high food costs. Still shipping between 7-15 every day.

I totally understand just trying to find the time. I had to recently wake up hours before I typically would just to try to get work done before my baby wakes up because what would normally take 3 hours will stretch to 6 or an all-day event trying to get listings up while being a stay-at-home mom lol you are doing your best and it's great you came to a point of realization.

Maybe spend one four hour period per week to photo everything and list throughout the week. I try to do that twice a week. I keep my 2 grandsons 5 days a week, so it is hard with a 3 and 1 year old boys. It is hard but I know you can do this! Moms are superwomen!

I am interested if you have ever had an issue shipping a cap in a bag/poly mailer. I made the mistake of doing it once, similar to how you wrapped your cap, and the buyer was disappointed because it was crushed in the mail - I learned more about serious cap people and now ship my caps in boxes. They still weigh under a pound, so they can still be shipped first class on eBay (where I sell most of my valuable caps). Great video.

Mogi Beth, I've watched you and participated in your course. Please, you have already got a new model. THE NEW MOM Model. Please consider talking to those that have huge changes in their life and how to pivot. You need to look at yourself with a fresh set of eyes. You successfully sold the high price model.. now you are adjusting for time in your life to put family priorities first. Possibly when a young woman has the high price model, they (as I am sure you did) need to put money in the bank for the FAMILY change. I think if you take this to heart... you will see that you are not the same "Mogi-Beth" Reseller now you are the Matriarch of your new family ... give them all you've got and then the reseller mojo will follow!

Don't beat yourself up! You have a lot on your plate, I'm sure you'll find a routine that will work for you soon. One thing that helps me is to do things in bulk, pictures, measurements, listings. I also create a bunch of drafts in a word document and then try to keep around that 50 drafts in Poshmark. I then post 3 of the drafts daily. That really seems to help me. Listing daily just doesn't work for me so this really helps.

My posh sales have been crap, people nickel and dime you to death. Ebay sales have been slow, but less low ball offers. I feel you on needing to list...I did 6 today so I consider that a win lol!

Mogi, Its only temporary! You have the knowledge, skills, framework in place and energy to do it, so just go with the flow and allow for the slow down whether it is self made or not. I myself have had an incredible slow down for months, months!...and not because I wasn't listing or I am doing anything different - it just is. The economy? the platform woes (ebay)? shrug. But the other day with my working on things more ....i put in a week of really hard effort...I got one day of amazing sales on 2 different platforms. I thought man if I got sales like this everyday I would be making enough to splurge, take a vacation, buy a new car....(I was dreaming you see?) LOL. Since then sales are up but not to that same degree at all, closer now back down to what they were - about 2 per day. Pretty sad. . It might take a week for your shops to bounce back, allow for that too. Do a closet clear out...I have been trying to do that...relisting OLD inventory and severely discounting them so I am making $1 - $2 on each item I sell that's been hanging around for too long. I am letting it go. And I think that might have "lightened" my store up too. Enough about me. For both of us, this is ONLY Temporary. You go girl.

I also need to get my butt going on the listing too. I have 3 kids and a house to keep clean so I just need to start doing it fast and not keep getting distracted. I do a ton of photos when I grt time and then after that I have a few days or a week of items ready to list. I just get distracted easily and need to stop! Lol

My sales have been terrible! The only way I can make any is to offer deep discounts or accept low ball offers. I did 60% off OTL this weekend and made about 25 sales but I’m happy to get old stuff out. I list 5-10 items daily. What works for me is batch photographing about 50 items in one day then listing those throughout the week. I package each item in clear bag and use post it note to record brand, style and measurements. This makes it easy to put into inventory after listing and also helps with shipping. It also makes it easy to delete sold items from other platforms because I pull the post it when shipping and use it to remind myself to delete.

I charge $8 priority for most Ebay items weighing over 8 oz because they fit in flat rate and legal flat rate envelopes. They also get there faster.

I live nearby, in Salem. I have Posh VA, and I did a little experiment. Relist/Delisted 10 items for a week. Then I didn't for a week. There was a considerable drop in my sales. I've even had 2 no sales days on Posh. Ebay seems to be taking off again after a drop, to be expected with their updates. Good luck in sales! You are amazing! Keep swimming!

@Connie Martin I used the Posh VA relist/delist feature for one week, and then I did not use it for one week. More sales when I used it. It's just a great way to keep your closet fresh, too.

Hi! Have you considered a Listing Assistant? I have two that are great with creating listings from my drafts. I have two because they do good work but, neither of them can be consistent. Between the two my listings get done each week. I just add photos and they complete the draft. They are both very affordable. Maybe it’s something to consider. 🙂

Everyone is having bad sales ever since tax time. Everyone is broke. I know I am. I usually get a nice tax refund and I got nothing and everyone is in the same boat. My husband’s coworkers had to pay out thousands. I don’t think it’s going to get better this year. 😞

I find that if I list 6-8 items 3-4 times a week then I can have 2-3 days a week where I only list a couple each day. It takes the pressure off.

I'm a stay at home mom of a 20 month old and started reselling a year ago for some extra income. Boy, if i knew then what i know now and realized how much time and work it would take, im not sure i would have done it! I feel like i cant turn back now but i try to be as balanced as i can with everything. I have not listed much the last two weeks and I know that's why sales have been slow but I have just been getting so discouraged at goodwill lately with their prices. I know I need more inventory. Have been getting more from Goodwill Blue Box which keeps me busy and things do sell. But I would much rather pick things out myself. I am going to try much harder this week. Also, the heat wave last week just knocked me out. I just can't get motivated when it's so hot. Strangely enough, I suddenly had a bunch of sales Sunday and today. Rarely sell over $100 on a Monday. Maybe that's a good sign from the Poshmark gods.

I don't think she can afford it anymore with the hit she's taken in sales. And this isn't meant to be rude but I'm always beating myself up bc I don't list as much as I should and I compare myself (a newbie) to all these KZbinrs who make $8k a month, but then I realize that they all have assistants or spouses who help them so seeing Mogi Beth struggle now that she's doing it on her own makes me realize I'm too hard on myself. Not that I want her struggling lol! But it helps me to realize that if even she has difficulties when she has to do it herself, then I need to go easy on myself for not listing more bc I'm sure most of these successful resellers on KZbin are paying people to photograph and list for them. I think we all could be six figure resellers if we only had to go out sourcing and could leave all the grunt work to an assistant. 😂

Not for sale means she is selling stuff on other platforms and when they sell, she puts not for sale. You can either delete it or put not for sale. It's up to the seller.
