I think as an artist one of the things that I have realized over the years is that art style does not have to be a consistent thing. If we look back on the famous artists we learn about in school, they all had different movements or "eras" like Picasso's Blue Period. A thing that social media has warped into today's artists is that we all need a consistent non-changing art style and this just isn't how a lot of artists work. It's important that you enjoy creating and connect with your artwork so if you feel the need to change things up, GO FOR IT! Anything you make will naturally have your mark on it anyways. I hope you find more happiness in whatever direction you feel the need to go in 😊

After seeing what’s going on with the animation industry, I’m learning that trying to cater your style to a certain industry or audience doesn’t really get you far and will really set you up for an identity crisis when people don’t care anymore. I think at this point, people are looking for something “real” over something pretty.

can't wait to see this whole series completed, and love the idea of pairing them with your other zodiac series. I hope that you feel a great sense of accomplishment when it's done! It's been so fun getting to watch this all year and I am excited for witches. I think in an ideal world, artists would always enjoy both the process and the outcome of their creations. Unfortunately, that's not always the case but it sounds like you've spent some time figuring out how you enjoy both more and I think that's great! As a Scorpio I love your take on the sign 🦂 even if the scorpion is very much a staple of the Scorpio sign I think it wouldn’t really be a Scorpio painting without it. The burgundy and red colors really suit me and mullets have always been my favorite so everything about this made it really feel like my sign✨
