I enjoy watching you shop. Now the same, but very enjoyable. Sometimes I see something I think I would like, I yell at you to stop, but you don’t. Then I remember you can’t theater me. Thank you for making it fun for me. Keep buying. 🌷🌹💐😍❤️🌷💕

Loved that Julien Celos piece. What a score! Also loved the fact you found so many things and Sue made a real haul too! The Cat, oh the Cat! He is Feline Groovy! This last week I had one of the GW folks tell me, "No real antiques make it onto the floor from our store." Who was I too correct them?! I just smiled as I put, (what I was sure), was an antique oil painting of Dutch sailing ships coming into a harbor, into my cart. After I got it home I removed the paper covering the back and there was a paper label stuck to the paintings frame. The original frame surrounding the painting had been replaced, and a cheap one from the 70's - 80's put on it. The framer papered over the back, thus obscuring the old framing label. The painting is unsigned but that label was put on by a framer that was only in business in Portland, Oregon between the years 1890-1911. Meaning the painting cannot date any later than 1911, making it over one hundred years old. I was just jumping up and down with glee! I paid $12.99 and was delighted to do so. Now I have the perfect painting to go over my t.v. in my living room. YAY!

@@CrazyLampLady I have to tell u this story, I was at my Goodwill yesterday looking around, I caught myself looking at stuff I've never been much interested in before like glass, everything u point out an grab in your videos kept catching my eye. So I'd look, admire, an even search their worth, I'd think to myself, man I should get ahold of Jocelyn so she can come rescue all this stuff lol.. I'm tempted to buy a few items an try flipping them on Facebook market place, we shall see. Ty for opening my eyes to vintage glass♡ Oh, AND.. You must see these pieces someone donated, maybe I'll upload pics to your fb page, somebody super duper glued beautiful pieces of different glass pieces to each other creating towers of weirdness! I know there was vintage pieces in these creations that were worth tons if only they weren't ruined with glue. An Sue would of been in Japan heaven, I'm convinced with other items I seen throughout the store like a rice cooker, items with Japan instructions, an beautiful glass, someone's Japanese grandma passed away. Ok back to today's vid..Happy thrifting chica!

Jocelyn, from what I could see, i believe the artwork is a hand colored etching signed by the artist. Usually artists sign their peices in the image. Plus, the edge looks to be where the etching plate stamped it. It could still be very valuable but I didn't want you to list it as an original painting by mistake 😊
@CrazyLampLady4 жыл бұрын
My understanding is that he did both watercolors and hand colored etchings. This piece has texture, so I suspect it is a hand colored etching. I’m planning to post a picture on Instagram at some point.

I know the canisters without lids are already listed. But there are some silicone/plastic lids out there in beautiful designs, usually flowers, that do a suction seal on top of all kinds of jars, containers, etc. They come in all different sizes too. I have sunflowers. They even make one that fits in a wine bottle to keep fresh. If anyone is interested I can try and find out the name.

I'd make kitchen window shelf planters out of those awesome canisters although the wooden lid idea below is cool too. BTW, I am always flabbergasted at how often you guys find Southern Pottery pieces, but more so, how cheap they are. I live literally 20 mins from the old Southern Pottery, with flea markets, thrift/antique shops on every corner and yard sale extraordinaire, yet you rarely see a piece any more and if you do it's way too expensive for an average "junker" like myself. In the 80s, the pie dishes with recipes on them were a dime a doz. We all had at least one and prob only paid $1 or less for it. Guess it all went "up north" lol. Makes me happy to see two glass/pottery experts like you chicks appreciate it and it's Appalachian heritage 😎.

Astrid is a beautiful name. There are many things in Belgium named "Astrid" which seems odd since it is a Danish name. One of the most popular queens and members of royalty was Queen Astrid who married the heir to the Belgium throne. She died tragically young in a car accident in Switzerland, leaving young children. She was a wonderful mother, who was very hands on...and is popular to this day.
