No idea about your problems, but I hope you got them fixed. The back part of the viewfinder is supposed to pop up when you press the button. It also looks like you have an extension tube affixed to the body. I just bought one of these cameras yesterday and the lens would only focus in extreme close up. When I took the tube off, the lens then would focus to infinity.

Thanks for your comments. I ended up selling this to someone who was interested in it even though it had some problems. Hopefully he has got it working. Thanks for subscribing also. Cheers Geoff

nice...i think i just ordered a similar camera called in the description of seller as praktiflex fx. from the picture it looks like an m42 mount. when i get it, i'll see if anything occurs to me about your problem ( it may be mine too!) liked and subscribed...

@@pembridgehouse I will enjoy it. I found a .PDF of the manual. And I found that they made around 23,000 of those first releases of the camera. So you may find another one. And that one may be in better working condition. 🤠 Thanks from Texas U.S.A

@@e7yuIts a nice thought to get another one but I have far too many cameras and I would not be popular if I went searching. I do like to window shop cameras though. Keep up the good work.Geoff
