Glad to see you made it through the storms. You are right about Asheville, it's devastating. It was 4 days before I knew if my daughter was alive. I have never in my lifetime seen anything like it. They said this morning I 40 eastbound is back open if that helps you any. Glad to see you back on your parents place. They have a beautiful piece of property. Stay safe my friend. You are right about I40- best way to get there from where you are is get on I77, follow it to I81 in Wytheville VA, then take THAT to Knoxville(it becomes I40 near Dandridge TN) then continue from K-town up I75 to Lexington KY, then I64 west to Louisville. Add about 5 hours to your original travel time and you should be ok. 40 is slow going thru K-town(I live in the area) because of the rerouting. Just a heads up!

I'd love to see that brush cutter run again. Lots of brush cutting on the family farm it looks like 👍. Yeah, y’all need to put a pipe there Davin, then you shouldn’t have to get any clay! Just use what you dig out to fill and pack in! I’ve seen Chris do it many times! Some rip rap on each side brother, and pack it with the bucket my friend! Chris just drained a pond on his property and it’s going to take a lot more than that little fix! He’s going to move the whole dam back because the pond was dug with a dragline and the dirt was just piled on top of the ground for a dam so now it’s seeping under the clay layer! He expanding the pond and going to take down a lot of trees to be able to dig a core trench for the new dam! You know Chris, he does everything to the Tee! That’s why I call him the “Pond Master “!
