As a Seychellois maybe you can answer me this - what's the percentage of black population in Seychelles? And how do I stand out as a black person in Seychelles? Am from Kenya and in Mombasa we have a high number of Seychellois and I am looking forward traveling to Seychelles as well. These are some of the concerns I had.
@denzzyhustles Жыл бұрын
@@mwangigitau286 there are average like 60% black people and 40% of people who are light brown skin and white , but being a black person does not necessarily make you stand out, as the majority of the population has African ancestry or is of mixed African descent. Remember, it's important to be yourself, respect local customs and traditions, and engage with others in a positive and genuine manner. I was in Seychelles two weeks ago and it was the most beautiful experience. I haven’t felt that amount of peace and calm in any country. I spent 4 nights in Savoy resort in Beau Vallon, and that resort was so beautiful with amazing service. I also found the locals very nice and accommodating when I went touring Mahe. I was never treated in a weird way or anything like Tayo described in his own video. It’s quite expensive in Seychelles, but I expected this considering it’s an island country with very limited resources. The driver that drove us around even said the entire island runs on a diesel generator for power, so you can imagine how expensive that is. He also mentioned the drug abuse problem and it was really sad to hear. Everywhere feels so dreamy in Seychelles, the air is clean, the water, the environment everything really. I had a great experience and can’t wait to return in the future if the recent ban on Nigerian passport holders gets lifted.

However, it wasn't just quite frankly the exorbitant pricing. its is the language barrier, lonely street , no night life , zero as at then. Nevertheless, i met some amazing very good humans, Islanders, Pirates, Dreadlocks Rastafarians who guided me around the ship. There was this guy i believe is , Seychelles Taekwondo federation champ who took me to his house,, beach, ate with his family , Shout out anyone? Am looking out for him still, Amazing guy right there!

He has had to pay tax twice as a result, Seychelles tax and again to convert it to his SA bank account. We have no idea what to do!
