This is just pure awesomeness. I can’t believe I only found your channel yesterday when I’ve loved astronomy for so many years. I’m sure many people are the same. With such quality videos your channel should be way bigger. Instant subscription! Looking forward to more videos

Hi Trevor. Thanks for talking with my GF and I at the beginning of NEAF outside. I didn't want to hold you guys up from the show. I ended up picking up an Explore Scientific 208mm Astrograph great guys. BTW tell Steve I have now caught up on all of your Podcasts. They are very good.

Great video! Astronomy is my other hobby, and I recently purchased my first DSLR (canon SL2) and am looking to buy a AT60ED and the iOptron SkyGuider to start messing around with astrophotography (only done visual thus far), so it is funny you mentioned the iOptron. We were in Florida on vacation a few weeks ago and I just started taking some night sky shots around Orion from our hotel balcony with the SL2 and a 50mm prime lens and was showing my wife what you could capture even with a few second exposure, and she was like "uh oh".

Hi Trevor! You sighted me at NEAF [glasses on top of head at 3:34] but I didn't manage to sight you. Thanks for fostering enthusiasm for truly big views; you rock!

This years show was great and the attendance keeps growing. The most fun are the multiple "pick-up" conversations with everyone (as we all love astronomy). Everyone is willing to share experiences, future plans and knowledge. Thanks for the video and your channel.

Excellent video. NEAF is fantastic. A few years ago my kids were helping the staff there while I was helping to man the Astronomics / Cloudy Nights booth. You get to see your astro friends from all over the world. To anyone who hasn't made the trip - NEAF is worth the effort. Make sure you check out the lectures and the Solar Party while you are there. Thank you, Sir! I’m sold. Won’t miss it next year. You covered a lot of ground very quickly, and good to see you had such a good intro to the dealers through your work. Appreciate your dedication, and enthusiasm. Haven’t checked in for a while...didn’t realize you have a skyshed POD. Will go back to see if you have comments about that. Enjoy the spring weather!

Nice. I've been to about 10 NEAFs now, usually a day visit. Two years ago I attended NEAIC, which is held on the Thursday and Friday before NEAF. If you ever get a chance, it's worth the time. At this year's NEAF I ended up getting the Star Adventurer 2.

I was your Sunday morning hello....lo.l I have watched and learned so much from you and I really enjoy your candid reviews. I ended up with a WO 102 which is just a terrific scope. Your review of William Optics and my exposure to a GT 71 was enough to make me take a serious look at the GT 102 and once I got a good look at it I knew it was the one that would be my first scope:). Waiting on a mount and some clear skies. Keep up the great work!

Great tag along trip. I need to go to the Texas Star Party after a 10 year absence, and see all the current gear. Meanwhile, guys like you keep us informed. Many thanks@
Sounds great as a concept, but the trick is figuring out exactly what wavelengths you need to block--its a lot harder than it sounds... and most of the time they are the same ones you want to capture from space! This is why so many city dwellers shoot narrowband.
@gabrielex3 жыл бұрын
@@weschilton From the city now narrowband filters are the only way out, LED lights are continuous emission spectrum lights, so you can't filter them out as you used to do when all lights where either sodium, mercury or tungsten.
