He was supposed to be there an hour before his talk starts, but he's always late. He turned being 40 minutes late into "20 minutes early". You think the speakers are supposed to show up the minute their talk starts? Casey is the one with issues, showing up unprepared (oh it's just me on stage?) and ignorant of the timing format (someone got cut, so the next person goes on early, which is why you have to be an hour early) and having no respect for the event and all the people who work to put on such a logistical nightmare. VidCon didn't make any mistakes. If two speakers don't show up, are they supposed to start the event an hour later, making people sit in their chairs looking at an empty stage? No. They tell the 3rd speaker to GO NOW. Shit happens, they had a plan, Casey failed. Then cries about it instead of manning up.

Vidcon didn't mess it up, the other youtubers did. Vidcon had a schedule, all the youtubers were supposed to talk a certain amount of time, but they all cut their talk short. That caused the whole thing to end way earlier and that's why Casey didn't get to go on. Blame the youtubers like Joe and Caspar for being unprepared and not filling their time slot like they were supposed to.

Yes, they had a schedule, and when that schedule goes faster than expected, then they should still be following the schedule they set up. Don't get me wrong though. Hank Green & the crew at VidCon have set up a great convention. VidCon is great. However, the people who were in charge in this situation could have handled the situation much better. Then again, we're all human. We all make mistakes :)
