AC⚡️DC with Bon Scott is the real deal. you just can’t get better than this. Bon Scott was a great lyricist and definitely a great front man. Brian Johnson, who took over after Bon ‘s death is a great lead singer has a great voice he’s also a good front man. Not too many bands flourish after they lose their lead singer. AC⚡️DC picked the right person for the job there’s AC⚡️DC before 1980 and then there’s AC/DC after 1980 RIP Bon, thank you Brian Johnson for being a voice when Bon couldn’t. Love your reactions. I’m glad you’re listening to both Brian and Bon. Also, we all know we’re here to hear Angus Young’s guitar him and Malcolm were forced to be reckoned with. Angus playing lead and Malcolm playing rhythm is the best you can ever hear for sure I wish. I you well on your musical journey.❤️✌️🌼

Angus Young was asked if he thought he was one of the best guitarists in the world. Angus laughed and responded, “I’m not even the best guitarist in my band”. He was referring to his brother Malcolm. AC/DC are primal- you feel them in your gut.

hahaha, true! I’ve read that they purposely kept the sound the same as they believed their product must be kept consistent, much like our expectations when we go back to our favourite restaurant and expect our favourite dish to always taste the same. It was a deliberate business strategy and it looks like it worked for them.

I was at Donington, great show, but Let There be Rock was getting a bit long winded and egotistical by then. @martykelly3145 is right, even if it's a little produced, the 'Apollo 78' If You Want Blood version is just better in every respect(Bon on vocals). Having said that, anythings better than the 'River Plate' parody show that people insist on reacting to, if you're going to listen to DC it needs to be from 40+ years ago.

Your reactions are great, your enthusiasm and acknowledging these guys. Opening riff is recognized as top of all time, a few others in top 5. Song is actually about a highway they took to play at a venue they played at frequently, hence the opening frame leading up to "...my friends are gonna be there to..." then "No stop signs, Speed limit, Nobody's gonna slow me down..". Makes ya appreciate their writing/music even more. "Let There Be Rock" one of plenty others...enjoy

This is only personal preference, but I actually prefer the 91 live album because I'd rather hear Heatseeker and Who Made Who over Rock n Roll Train and Big Jack. That said, I have a playlist with every AC⚡DC Live album on it, so it's not like I don't listen to them both. 🤷🏼‍♂️

Saw ACDC in Tulsa OK. There was a bad snow and ice storm that night. After the concert went into the steak house close by the bok center. Angus was there eating some angus 😂 Didn't bother him, but he could tell we obviously knew who he was. I was walking with a cane at the time, and he bought our dinner for us without saying a word. Didn't get to Thank him, as he just left quietly and wished us a good and warm night. They say don't meet your heros because they may let you down. He was amazing in person and you could tell he's just a good dude. Besides having my kids, that was the best night ever!

If you like that, you should listen to the album and Especially the song. LET THERE BE ROCK by AC/DC. Angus Young said it was his favorite album to record because they let him jam out as hard as he wanted to in the studio. He said during the recording of the album that they jammed so hard the amps in the studio caught on fire. Instead of rerecording, they left the burning amps recording on the album. Now that's Rock 'N' Roll Angus Young's amp caught fire while recording the song "Let There Be Rock" for AC/DC's fourth album, Let There Be Rock. The incident happened in January 1977. Explanation Angus was tracking his solo for "Let There Be Rock" when his amp caught fire. Angus' brother Malcolm was in the control room and yelled at him to keep playing. Angus continued playing until the amp head was a smoldering puddle of wiring and valves. Angus has said that he experienced a similar incident while recording AC/DC's 2014 album Rock or Bust.

Back in the late 70’s & early 80’s some of the theaters featured Midnight movies which were usually attended by the very young party crowd. Besides the ever showing Rocky Horror Picture Show, several great rock movies were shown, including AC/DC’s “Let There Be Rock”. Great times back then with a theater full people sneaking in beers and other fun items, watching Metal gods on the big screen! In DOLBY, too when it first came out! Led Zeppelins “The Song Remains The Same” was another good one!

'Highway to Hell' is one of AC/DC's most popular songs and has been on movie and TV soundtracks... Bon Scott on vocals. 'Highway to Hell' was also AC/DC's 6th studio album in 1979 and last record to feature Bon Scott... It was also their first record to sell commercially, going gold (half million copies) in the US. AC/DC were peaking as a live band in 1978 touring on their 5th album 'Powerage' and live album "If you want blood - you've got it"... and their record sales, while good, still hadn't reached the half million mark... Their fans were made on tour without any commercial airplay. Now, AC/DC albums were produced by George Young (Angus and Malcolm Young's older brother) and Harry Vanda, until that point... After the 'Powerage' album, vocalist Bon Scott felt that they needed a change... a new producer to help 'refine' AC/DC's sound on a record... So, they sought to work w/ someone new. In 1979, they agreed to hire producer Robert John 'Mutt' Lange, who had some success w/ bands like Boomtown Rats ... Savoy Brown... Rather than speed through the recording process, Lange took time in the studio and worked to polish AC/DC's rough edges... He also added more backing vocals from guitarist Malcolm Young and bassist Cliff Williams on song choruses and worked on Bon Scott's vocal performances... The songs on 'Highway to Hell' were much better sonically and AC/DC would finally get some radio play w/ singles like - 'Shot down in flames' ... 'Touch too much' ... "Girl's got rhythm" ... 'Highway to Hell'... On tour, major bands refused to take AC/DC out as an opening act because they did not want to be outdone as headliners... So, AC/DC launched their own headline tours across N. America and Europe in '79... 'Highway to Hell' charted well and sold significantly more than 'Powerage' and reached a half million in sales before the year ended (It has sold 8 million copies in the US alone, since then) and AC/DC concerts were selling out. In late '79, AC/DC's concert in Paris, France was filmed by a local company... it would be one of Bon Scott's final performances... After his death in 1980, the footage was sold without the band's consent and made into a concert movie 'Let there be rock - the movie'... Angus and Malcolm Young began working on new music for AC/DC's 7th studio album in early 1980 and Bon Scott visited the studio to hear the new tracks... He seemed happy and looked forward to working on lyrics for the new songs. Tragically, Bon Scott was found dead from alcohol asphyxiation in a friend's car after a night at the London bars in February 1980... AC/DC members were devastated and weren't sure the band would continue as they flew to Australia for Bon's funeral. There, Bon Scott's grieving parents told Angus and Malcolm to carry on w/ AC/DC... So, they flew back to the UK and began looking at singers. One of those who was contacted was vocalist Brian Johnson in Newcastle, UK and had fronted the band Geordie in the 70's... and he was a fan of AC/DC... Brian Johnson had apparently met Bon Scott when Bon's band Fraternity opened for Geordie in the early 70's before AC/DC. Brian Johnson was announced as the new AC/DC singer in April 1980 and recorded the band's 7th album 'Back in Black'... which was dedicated to the memory of Bon Scott. It became the biggest album of their career, selling 25 million copies in the US to date.
