I never realized Africa was this big.. 😭

Africa is a HUGE continent, and it’s hard for most people to realize just how massive it is. Looking on a map, its size seems pretty unimpressive, and it looks to be a similar size to Greenland, but in reality, the continent is more than 14 times larger.
In fact, Africa is so large that the countries of China, India, Mexico, The United States, and Japan could fit inside it, with plenty of room to spare.
But, it’s land area isn’t the only thing that's massive, because Africa is also home to 1.4 billion people, a massive number which is expected to increase to 4.3 billion by the year 2100.

I feel it is a bit racist to think that Africa should only be for Africans. Likewise for all other countries. The UK has an Indian Hindu PM. Europe has taken in a lot immigrants from Africa and Asia. However on your point about the African people not helping their own African brothers and sisters....that is true. I visited Kenya about 15 years ago. The Kenyatta family was ruling the country. They are an extremely wealthy family and live in extreme luxury almost like royalty. However I also visited one of the largest slums in Africa and it was heartbreaking to see so much poverty. I thought the Africans threw the Whites out because they felt that the Whites were living large and the poor Africans were suffering...and all that is true. However today Africans are doing the same thing!!! These super rich Africans are living large while their own brothers and sisters are dying from poverty!!! Why don't they feel for their own kind??? Like I said, in the past the Africans resented the Whites and would murder them any chance they got, like Mau Mau would slaughter White farmers and stick their heads on gate posts on their farms. But today Africans do not resent the Africans that are living it up thru corruption or whatever. They don't feel they have to slaughter these super wealthy Africans like they did to the Whites. Yet the Whites developed their country like Nairobi is a well laid out city all done by the British. The point is Africans view Whites as racist but who are the real racists??? Africans are okay if the super wealthy continue to exploit them but God forbid that person happens to be a different race!!! Even slavery is blamed on the White man only....yet history excludes the fact that it was Africans who were capturing other Africans and selling them as slaves to the Arabs who in turn sold them to the White man. Also Africa is the most genetically diverse place in the world. Africans are more related to people outside of the continent than they are to each other. There's so many ethnic groups in Africa, no wonder Africa has been so slow to develop. I believe this map discrepency comes from the scaling used, maps that show greenland as unusually large is using the Mercator projection, if you want a more accurate depition of Africa's size compared to other continents the Robinson projection does a better job, altho in the Robinson projection the closer you get to the poles the more slanted/distorted the countries look in order to try and replicate the shape of the earth... so regardless of which map projection is used, neither Mercator nor Robinson are truly accurate.

If I just look at my home country (South Africa) it's amazing how much more geographically diverse it is compared to other countries. From forests, mountain, desserts, savanna, tropical areas, beaches, gorges, warm sea, cold sea the list goes on. My one country in Africa is like a world in one country, so I can just imagine how impressive the greater continent is. When family from the UK visits, they cannot believe how much more South Africa offers in such a small area from the natural beutify through to malls, houses and cities putting theirs to shame.
