i love how at the end, she's so talkative and didnt want to let him go home yet. Goes to show how she missed him a lot in those days he was ignoring her.

I love the duality this episode depicts. Ichikawa doubts that Yamada has feelings for him even though Yamada has been giving signs upon signs that she loves him. Kobayashi is the opposite. She was given false, deceptive hope. She took it, even arguing with Yamada, until Moeko explained the truth, which hurt her. This shows two different types of people. The one who doubts other people's feelings to protect themselves and the one who clings to the smallest or fakest of hopes, resulting in getting their own feelings hurt. Having a balance between both perspectives is the way to go. When you go the Ichikawa route, it shows that there is a chance that you will hurt the other person, which in turn, hurts you as well if you care for that said person, while the Kobayashi route shows you that you might get the people who look out for you and yourself hurt. I also love how the episode started with Yamada unable to get Ichikawa's line ID to them lining nonstop. I also love Yamada's eagerness and efforts. She initiated the line exchange, although, in a quite runabout way, she was not letting things go south without having a proper conversation, and she made a lot of genius excuses for them to go on a Christmas Eve date. Once again, thank you so much for the reaction! I hope you get well soon.

01:12 I personally wouldn't describe Re:Zero as a classic, but it's massively popular with otaku in and outside of Japan. I saw a ton of figurines of the blue hair girl (Rem) in Japan this year, despite the original TV show being 7 years old already.

Yeah the music in this was one of my favorite parts of the show. It's really simple, but very effective. And yes, Re:Zero is a great show to react to.

the "I love how Kobayashi isnalways protecting Yamada" felt like famous last words ahhahaha right before she crumbles XD.
@candralegend4965 Жыл бұрын
She is always protecting Yamada but on the other hand she is also too innocent and you can't blame her
@shin-iti Жыл бұрын
@@candralegend4965 yeah but ot was so funny that the moment she praised Chii, she crumbled haha... bit yeah I saw someone pointing cleverly that the interaction of Chii and Nanpai is too similar to Ichikawa and Yamada, thats why its easy to understand for Ichikawa how easily he could be wrong about her feelings because its exactly how it happened with Chii, which just like Ichikawa, ended up being led by her feelings.

Despite her dorky demeanor, Yamada is actually a cunning one. First, she tried to stole Ichikawa's bike just for her to spend more time with him. The next day, despite of what they agreed that she will bring the other volumes of the manga, she didn't bring them at school on purpose so she can set a date with him on Christmas Eve (Which is the next day) and finally getting his LINE account. And yes, natto is fermented soybeans.

re:zero "pronounced "ree-zero" is, without a doubt in my mind, a modern classic, and I bet you I'd watch you react to it. there's two seasons out right now, and season 1 got a "director's cut", which mostly just smushed every two episodes together to make 13 longer episodes out of the original 25

Yeah, Re:Zero is one of the few big daddies of its genre (isekai). It's a classic, in this regard.

1:04 yes. 100% yes. re:zero is honestly top 3 best isekais we’ve ever gotten. also to add: idk if you noticed or anyone said but she forgot to bring the manga to school on purpose. she just wanted an excuse to hang out with him on christmas eve:)
@proximitive3872 Жыл бұрын
top 3? Its either top 1 or 2 depending on your tastes. The other contender is mushoku tensei. I dont see any other isekai with such depth in writing.
@sadaholic Жыл бұрын
@@proximitive3872 yeah i was thinking about it and i can’t really think of any best isekais other than mushoku & rezero. possibly sao due to its popularity or maybe slime since its arguably the closest to the other two but 🤷🏻♂️
@proximitive3872 Жыл бұрын
@@sadaholic slime is just good but not that deep. SAO... tbh i cant really remember anything about it anymore to judge it but im pretty sure its not a contender for the best isekai. SAO is also arguably not an isekai
@sadaholic Жыл бұрын
@@proximitive3872 sao is an isekai, and i’d only say itd be in contending bc of how popular of a series it is. but yeah anything abt characters being in an alternate world is an isekai
