The song is about her trying to connect with her long ago lost love,. So much longing, so much pain, so heartbreaking. Listen to it from the perspective of someone who can't let go of something that never really happened. Yean she maybe was with the boy but it was never meant to he, almost like a fantasy. Whatever the interpretation, what a freaking banger of a song.

Somewhere on KZbin, there's a video of her performing this with Jimmy Fallon and The Roots at the Tonight Show, except they're using classroom instruments. It make it sounds pretty unique. Also, another fabulous song she did was "Skyfall", which is the theme from the James Bond film of the same name. She won an Oscar for it.

Its that you all are basically getting a quick upload of so many songs alone, never mind all the songs by artists. We were privileged to hear these songs and millions more come out day after day, song after song. Marking the charts for weeks, months, and some songs at the top like Stairway to Heaven by zepplin for years... that song was number one every year for 20 plus years.. on WBLM anyways, we were blessed to see these masters live... learn about details In their lives and such over the course of time... we get it... we're just so pleased to watch you all see and hear the mastery in so many artists of the "PAST"! Most were playing when ur parents were young too... Crazy how time flies.. miss them days

It's about a time when Adele had switched schools, going to the "other side". There is a performing arts school in the UK called 'Brit School' which is notorious for taking in people with exceptional talent and allowing them to get a great education while being able to work on their craft. Amy Winehouse, Jessie J, Adele, etc are just examples of people who were invited to Brit School (it's an invitation only place). The song is a sort of adage to looking back at a time pre-fame and how things were before it all changed.

Need to see this cover from Leo Marachaoli. He made this a metal song. This cover was his first semi viral video. His channel is Frog Leap Studios. Michael Jackson’s Thriller, Ping Fong Baby Shark, Gorillas Feel Good Inc, Sultans of Swing, Cranberries Zombie, Beastie Boys Sabotage, the list goes on and on. He plays most of the instruments himself. He has some pretty talented guests that also join him on tour playing his songs. His humor often comes out in the videos. His now ex wife used to show up. His grade school daughter can walk through and dance also. Costumes and improved bits are not feared.

hey yall Adele grew up dirt poor and went to a british school for extremely gifted music talent. her Mum worked to help her but she was a single mum that had what adele had but she never went to get her music dream because she was too damaged by life. most of adele's friends were black because like here in america we are too blind too see every shade of color was painted by the same God. he never drew lines in the dirt telling his children where to live and who to beat to a pulp and who you can't marry. I was a dude on 90s tv...raised by my grandmother who raised 5 kids alone because she was irish and married her sweet soul love mate...a "gypsy" you can imagine your own families doing everything to fuck them up...and it finally worked...nana's mother in law had my grandad's brother, her uncle use my mum as a child to make him not gay. can you see pain comes in every shade of our skin and every shade of human ability to hurt and fuck each other up. You two make me start to smile again. xoxo ps my adopted family here in boston we some of the kennedy family and in california by black working class women originally from the south. my mama em laughs that i traded in boston baked beans for black eyed peas cooked in pork fat...and i did. my own blood hates me...my siblings...my real mum recently passed and i left a high flying career in 2000 to help another generation of the same old abuse on a good woman who loved and was exploited and guilted by her kids hers husbands kids, my dad and his crazy mother that said a blond baby wasn't his...? that was me...and my mums mum took me from the midwife that delivered me...and knew when my mum's first pregnancy miscarried late term was caused by my dads mum making her a slave...my family lived on the rich folks line in the dirt...i lived with my nan who was one of the kennedy family maid that loved her and me like family. the women of color and joan kennedy and the friedman jewish wealthy always showed up for funerals and birthdays and depression and tv debuts like even when i was a tyke on a local kids show romper room...i had a gift like my nana who never could use hers but she taught me everything I know from God to "gypsy magic" to show up for the one's that need a strong hand and voice...now I'm young still and its just me and my spouse who have a lawyer dealing with my siblings over my money and the house I live in that I bought my mum...and I payed all their debts in my mums name too many times to make them do the right thing....isn't life cruel by the people that see only what benefits their life...and not even seeing a human in their own blond brother that has a heart and cant fix anything anymore for them? right before covid I shattered every bone in my foot...and then almost lost a kidney because I took care of everyone but me. I pray now the covid will die...the racist's will shut the fuck up....and a good man and his partner can have a turn to see the sky and the beach again....and maybe I will say yes to another script to play another supernatural character....but for now I enjoy people like you. Thank you.

Onc e you hear lyrics, poetry, literature the words are yours. Don't try to inhabit someone else's world. Live in your own. All good writers make that happen.
