A tool for rushdown, an skill that's good to set-up 50/50s with a kinda long cooldown, an AOE combo extender and a grab/projectile that complements his 50/50. I'd say Renji's base is a lot better for both the actual character and its variant, especially for the normal version because the awakening is awkward to use and the tybw variant is a lot more combo-based

I feel like pre-TYBW mode is more so a pub stomper considering the amount of AOE it can throw out and then it has a single aimable move that can auto aim and deals a good chunk (4 -Hikotsu Taihou).

I won’t lie Renji is alright, but Goku is definitely better across the board. The first move is an easy counter. All you gotta do is use a move with hyper armor. Also it is easily dodged and has hella windup. I won’t even talk about his mediocre barrage and combo ended. This guy legit has a worse version of Jotaro’s kit.
