I do property maintenance and one of our places is this ghetto mall thing right in the worst spot of town and I've literally had a coworker get stuck with a hypodermic syringe (luckily it didn't break completely through his skin) and I've found probably 50+ myself this year. What we do is pick them up with gloves very carefully and put them in a soda/pop bottle (theres always one lying around there) and turn it in to security so they can dispose of it properly.

Hypodermic means under the skin. If you inject yourself with insulin (as I do twice daily) you have to get it into the fat layer under the skin. The short needles I use (8mm) are not for injections into the bloodstream. You need something longer for that (if you happen to be a junkie).

I found one at Walmart parking lot one day !!! I don't know what's wrong with people there's no excuse for that ..... a child could have easily pick that thing up and played with it really didn't want to touch it but I made sure that I disposed of it safely had its cap but that still just nasty and dangerous...

I was expecting an unexploded bomb lol. (Still better safe than sorry.) The area I'm from, when the street drainage got blocked up in stormy weather, the storm inlets (named "stank's" locally) Would overflow & empty out on to the street. I remember taking a shortcut going to my GFs over quite a rough part of the neighbourhood. It was after a big deluge, and I kid you not. The drains down each side of the street had poured hundreds of used hypodermics all over the street, it was really nasty looking! Apparently the drug addicts used to dispose of them down the drains, out of the reach of local kids. No wonder the Drainage workers wear thick bio hazard suits. Nasty business.💀

I still remember back when i was a kid I found one of those needles and didnt know what it was. Then these two girls came up to me and was behind a gate. They asked me a pick it up and give it to them. Ask a kids I listened to them and as I was doing to pick it up. My mom ran up to me and stopped me and started yelling at those two girls. I didnt know much but I remember it quite till. I even remember the location and everything. As I grew up i was like how stupid of me for wanting to help those two girls pick up a needle.

Jordan, you may have already been informed of this place in TN. Pickwick Tennessee on the Tennessee River. There are several places you could go treasure hunting! We have a very popular waterfall where I know so many items lie at the bottom. Also Pickwick lake was man made from the TN river. The homes churches etc were just covered up when they filled up for the lake. They are all under water now. I think it would be an adventure to go and see the buildings there. Also the civil war was fought about 12 miles from here at the Battle of Shiloh. There is a sunken ship from the civil in he river between the dam and Hamburg or Pittsburg landing. Thank you and would love to see videos you could shoot from this location.

I used to have my son take out the trash to the dumpster in our old neighborhood. Something told me I should go help him one day and ran a bag over with him. We walked up to the dumpster and there was a HUGE bundle of used needles in a gallon sized ziplock bag. I told him to back up and just go home because after I saw those, I looked around and there where a whole bunch of them also scattered all over the ground and looked like there was a second bag of them that broke open. A few seconds later a police car drove up to us doing a route drive by. I flagged him down and told him what we saw and he got out of his car to take a look and had zero concern for the situation and tried to tell me they diabetic needles. He left them there and left. I honestly didn’t care what kind they were because I know that if someone gets desperate enough to use them for something else that they have easier access to then they will and just because they’re for a diabetic doesn’t mean they’re not contaminated with other drugs or diseases! I was pissed he still left them there and didn’t send someone either to clean them up considering we lived in a neighborhood that has a ton of kids in them and many who stupidly go dumpster diving just for fun. You don’t mess around with stuff like this because you just never know!!

A place that is popular for tubing is the Whisky Chitto River in Mitty, Louisiana. It’s a popular place for tubing. I’m pretty sure with the amount of tubbing traffic that goes through there may be an awesome treasuring hunting experience.

The Boise River in Idaho. Thousands of people float the river every year, and lots of people lose their things in it all the time. There are also tons of lakes here to explore too. Lucky Peak is close to Boise, but there is also Lake Red Fish with crystal clear water in the mountains. It's beautiful

I keep a kit in the car for safely securing needles when I find them. When I find them, I remove them so I can drop them off to the local collection points. Can't leave them because they're far too dangerous. Kids might find them, someone could step on them.

You should come up to Seattle Washington, there is some big lakes up here, Lake Washington, Lake Union, Alki Beach, Lake Sammamish, and American Lake in Lakewood. All of those lakes are very busy lakes during the summer and a lot of stuff (treasures) get dropped in those lakes.
