I NEVER wanted to get married....now here I am 7 years later

From not wanting to get married to now, it's insane that I just celebrated seven years of marriage.
As someone who didn't grow up in a household where I saw happy and healthy relationships- this is a pretty huge milestone. It's not a huge milestone because I've been married for this long- but because of the type of marriage Dejan and I cultivated.

Happy belated anniversary, I have been surrounded by many examples of good marriages, my parents were married 52 years until my fathers death, an uncle and aunt who have been married 70 years friends who have been married 30+ years, was it all smooth sailing no, did they want to bail at times? Yes, but they figured stick it out communicate and don’t allow the fire in your marriage to burn out, happy bantering is part of their marriage, they also made time for each other, yes they all had kids, your definitely doing it right, they also did not take each other for granted, after almost 70 years do they still dress up for each other and have fun? Yes indeed, they have a partnership and they have love and respect for each other

I believe it's how you get through those hard times that says it'll. then when you both come out of it the other side- you're stronger and better for it (as individuals and as a couple).
