No you are correct, it’s still coffee just not caffeinated, I gave it to my dad occasionally when I was his step in assistant when he had already had to many coffees and he didn’t notice, his current assistant now does the same 😂

Decaf still tastes of coffee, the taste doesn't go. Decaf is short for decaffeinated which means no caffeine so it doesn't keep you up/ give you loads of energy
