Well, evolutions is ABSOLUTE TRASH and it should be worth $2 for a pack. And the best card you can pull is $40ish. Team Up is a great set and you can pull an $1800ish card from it. And putting prices aside, team up artwork is WAY better.

@@cyborgryan well first of all I also said “putting prices aside…” and talked about the artwork too goofball. But like most people, I’m not a fan of spending $300-$600 to get MAYBE $60-$70 worth of cards but I guess I’m weird that way. Just buy the damn card when it comes to these XY sets.

@@cyborgryan based on prices and pull rates and then the prices of the XY cards, it is idiotic to buy these sets. I know it’s not as fun to just buy the card you want but it makes way more sense. But I don’t have a Pokémon distributor and a YT channel so I’m smart with my money.

@@cyborgryan but if money isn’t an issue for you then by all means….spend the ridiculous amount of money for these sets just to probably more than likely not pull the card you want. Have fun. I was more of a fan of Pokémon when there wasn’t this stupid reselling secondary market. Those people are ruining it for a lot of people. I understand value appreciation but it’s become outrageous and has ruined the hobby for a lot of people, especially the kids…who it’s supposed to be all about. So, no it’s not ALL about the money but the money part of it is ruining the HOBBY side of it so it’s definitely worth mentioning.

Back when these were in standard rotation, that roaring skies full art shaymin EX was one of the most sought after cards for its set up ability. I remember opening one booster box of the set searching for that card and ended up getting it. It was my biggest flex at the time haha.

I finally got back into collecting a few years ago during the movie card craze, my local dollar general had a bunch of fates collide, steam siege, and break point. I bought about 50 of each at $3 a pack and ripped them all. I pulled the secret rare alakazam without even knowing what it was. Good times.
